So John Brannen is the new head coach, we have Curtis under LOI, for now, but looking into it he didn't have a really talented class at NKU for 2019. It was already pretty quiet on the UC recruiting front for 2019, but now with 2 spots open, I'm wondering who is actually possibly in play for UC...

More than ever, with what looks like to be a couple guys leaving and Curtis looking around at other schools, the athletic department HAS to hire a coach with some recruits who will follow him. A blah hire will set this program back a long ways

Curtis retweeted another high school players tweet. That player essentially is going prep and going to reclassify as a 2020 recruit. Might be something, might be nothing but Curtis put a thinking emoji along with the retweet.

I believe players can sign agents now and have a deadline to return to school. Don't quote me on that but I'm fairly certain the hiring of an agent doesn't automatically mean they have to stay in the draft.

Oh yeah I'd love to know who they have in mind. They need to move quickly, I would say by early next week. The longer this lasts the more in limbo current players feel and I'm sure it will negatively effect Curtis and all other prospective 2019 recruits. Get their guy, get it done and let him...

Personally, no, I understand the concept but they shouldn't be making decisions based on a players preference in college. I get what you're saying and it makes sense but that's a slippery slope. I think Cumberland should know who they are looking at, but not have a say in who they hire.

However it is needs to concern himself with Cumberland and Curtis. Jarron was non committal on his future.

Not a gigantic loss. Opens up another scholarship and hopefully the new coach can bring in new, more talented guys to fill those open spots. The one i definitely don't want to see transfer is Logan Johnson.

I agree with just about everything you said. My biggest concern with those two guys is, can they recruit on the level needed to compete nationally every season, win the conference and make the tournament every season. I have huge recruiting questions when it comes to both McMahon and Brannen

My ultimate worry when it comes to Curtis is did he create that strong of a bond with Cronin and pair that with the fact there is immediate playing time available at UCLA at the guard spot. The roster is actually stacked right now at UCLA minus one weakness, depth at guard.

Like I've told others, I have this feeling he is going to be very successful there. I think he is going to show how well he can recruit with the resources he will have at UCLA. Hot take: the first recruit he will sign will be Cassius Stanley, who is waiting on his phone call.
