Said it was the first time a team has ever beat the 1,2,3 seeds from their side of the bracket

Lipscomb upsets NC State in a great game. Garrison Mathews poured in 44 points. 5 seed Lipscomb will face 6 seed Wichita St at Madison Square. Feels like the NIT has had more upsets than the NCAA.
Most of the good teams don't really care because it's the NIT.
Then why do the accept the invitation?
South Florida beat Loyola Marymount. They'll play a three game series against DePaul for the CBI championship.
Below is a link to the current players who have declared for the draft. I am surprised to see that Xavier’s starting line up basically declared. I am sure they will all return. Armani Brooks and Aubrey Dawkins have declared as well.

Ouch, that's going to hurt Houston if he goes. They are already losing 3 starters to graduation, if Brooks goes as well, Sampson is going to have quite a bit of work to do to get keep them at/near the top of the AAC.
Dawkins signed with an agent, he's out. UCF is going to fall from the top tier of the AAC. Disappointing for them since they underachieved during the last two years.
I believe players can sign agents now and have a deadline to return to school. Don't quote me on that but I'm fairly certain the hiring of an agent doesn't automatically mean they have to stay in the draft.

Houston still got jarrue and Hinton, they won’t be nearly as good offensively but defensively they will still be elite.
Ucf’s Still got Collin smith who is probably going to be first team aac next year and I like their sg Allen a lot, they won’t be ncaa tourney good but probably NIT good.
