One, the last time TheLivingLegend shot around. 100 threes where shot, 69 where made. Larry Davis would make 26 on a good day. (yes i just referred to myself in third person, btw the goal is 75 out of 100... yes GreatOne was a witness, no he didnt match it)
Two, people on this sight need to stop saying so and so is a lock, when in all actuality there everything but.
You are right there are never locks and even good vibes don't pan out many times. You just never know what it is that makes a recruit choose one school over the other when it's neck and neck. That's why I tried to go with percentage of 55-45 or 60-40. Obviously, those were flip flopped in Nevada's favor but we only report the information we receive and decipher.
I'm disappointed but I really feel alright with the backcourt of Kilpatrick, Parker, and Cash. I think Cash will be heads and shoulders above where he was this past season. Believe Kilpatrick will be one of our top 1-3 scorers (won't surprise me if he's tops), and think Parker is going to be very good. I thought Burton would have been a missing piece for us. I hope Dixon gets back in attack mode next season and away from bombing threes he can't make. If we can land Watkins or Poland I will still feel good. I'm more worried about frontcourt depth.
Part of the problem was players standing around waiting for Lance or Deonte to make a play. It will be a more team oriented game next season. I'm telling you guys Kilpatrick is going to surprise you. He attacks the rim and while he's not a knock down shooter can shoot from distance much better than Lance.
Forgive me for being in wait and see mode when it comes to Kilpatrick, but I have heard similar things about other guys in the past and not seen it come to fruition. Admittedly, several of those cases were injury issues so that definitely plays a part. I sincerely hope you are right about SK. I haven't seen him play but I am encouraged by his commitment to his game. I heard many times that he spent a lot of extra time in the gym working on his game with LS this year.

I was just fixing your post so people that actually speak (and read) English would understand.

I live right near where he played his high school ball. Although, I never saw him play personally, I always saw highlights of his games. Kid is a baller. Im telling you, he will be very good. In fact, he reminds me of James White alittle bit, although I do not know if Kilpatrick can dunk as well as White.
I spoke to Derrick Burton, the father of Deonte Burton, on Tuesday, April 20, 2010. I got the impression things were up in the air and no decision had been made regarding Burton’s college choice. My impression was correct, but Burton made his decision not too long after my conversation with his father. On Wednesday, April 21, 2010, word leaked that Burton was going to the University of Nevada. After sending Burton’s family a congratulatory text message on the decision, I thought my involvement with the Burton family was over.
To my surprise, my phone rang at 6:30 p.m., approximately four hours after I received word of Burton’s intentions to attend the University of Nevada. On the other line was Derrick Burton, complimenting the Cincinnati coaches on the outstanding job they did recruiting Deonte. It was at this time that I had an opportunity to catch up with the Compton Centennial High School guard and ask him a few questions about the big decision.
When asked how he came to a decision after my last conversation with his father, Burton said he, “looked in his heart” and made the best choice for his future.
Burton went on to say that he, “loved the coaching staff, the players, the city and everything about Cincinnati,” but the opportunity to get significant minutes playing the point guard position at Nevada trumped them all. Burton mentioned that his time spent with the Cincinnati coaches and players was great, and Cincinnati was one of the “coolest” teams he had ever been around.
The appreciation for the Cincinnati program was noticeable in his voice. Burton even stated that he “wishes there were two of him so he could play for both schools.” Unfortunately, he will not be in Clifton next fall.
When comparing the two conferences, Burton said, “the Big East is the best conference in the nation, and I would have got playing time at Cincinnati, but Nevada was offering an opportunity to get more playing time. I don’t want anything handed to me, and I want to work for my playing time, but Nevada provided a chance to get automatic playing time.”
Burton elaborated on his opportunity to play point guard, saying, “I have the opportunity to play the one guard and be a leader in my first year at Nevada. I prefer to have the ball in my hands so I can facilitate, get my teammates involved, make plays and hit the big shots.”
The announcement that Nevada forward Luke Babbitt would enter the NBA Draft had Cincinnati fans hopeful that Burton would bring his game to the campus in Clifton. This was not the case. Burton said, “I couldn’t hold it against Nevada and Babbitt. Babbitt had to challenge himself and go to the next level. This gives me an opportunity help Nevada score and win games.”
While it seems that Cincinnati let a dynamic guard escape its grasp, Burton’s family had nothing but positive words to say about the Cincinnati program. While writing this piece, Burton’s father sent me a text message thanking the Cincinnati program for everything it had done. Burton may have been a recruit that got away, but he is someone that I will be following in the future.
I'm guessing this is in the free section? Can you provide a link please?
Sean is a natural scorer he doesnt have no where elite athleticism nor does he have very good quickness, but what he does have is above average basketball iq and a good shot and one of the sickest crossovers ive ever seen. He will be very important to this team but he will not be there savior, remember back to a player under Huggs named dejuan baker #5 i think he wore. Sk will be a very good edition but like everyone else im wondering why he was redshirted because a yr of beast under his belt would be nice going into next yr. The player im most excited about is JP who has bearcat tuffness and will be counted upon alot next year.
Its possible that SK redshirting will be best for the long term health of the program.
HAHAHA awesome.....I would love to see living legend and greatone on a team, they would play no D whatsoever!
