But that is the case, players decide games not coaches. All coaches at the college level know the same X's and O's. The zone offense that UC ran against Syracuse was the same zone offense that Louisville ran against Syracuse. The difference was Louisville made shots and UC did not make any the last 10 minutes.

So how do some coaches always get to the final four with less talent? (MSU?) Coaches at this level play a big part in success.

I find it hard to believe a Coach with Micks pedigree doesn't practice pressure free throw situations in practice. Especially when our team is very poor at shooting free throws! It is you who are ignorant to think that they dont work on these things! With the general low basketball IQ on this team, why is it so hard to believe that most of the team struggles at the line.

Not once did I say anything about Mick's making excuses, he makes way to many of them we all agree on that.

And that has what exactly to do with shooting free throws???????

Would like to know what level of bball you played and where?

Only everything I have been saying all damn day, we are not a strong basketball IQ team, we do not have a strong mental fortitude to shoot free throws well. If you do not see the correlation between high basketball IQ and great free throw shooting look no further than Duke, KU, MSU just to name a few. Call it an excuse or whatever, this team just mentally collapses at the free throw line, it is so apparent.

As for what level of basketball I played, just know it was for one of the best programs in the state of Ohio with multiple titles. I will leave it at that.

Forget the IQ, those teams have Hall of Fame coaches!........

No one is guarding them. Throw the round thing 10 feet in the air from 15 feet away. Doesn't take a mechanical engineer to figure that out.

If they were just missing these in clutch situations then yes, you may be right. But they aren't. Its alllll game!

You were the one who brought up clutch situations, I am telling you we miss these free throws because its a mental thing and that is all game. I am done with this conversation as it doesnt bring anything to the board any longer and you simply do not get it.

Good day sir!

Yes, forgive me how I do not understant that Basketball IQ translates to free throw shooting... Please have mercy on me. I did not get to play for Junior Walker and the All Stars like yourself.

Good Evening Sir
