'11 IN SG Jeremiah Davis (Signed)

No offense but I think BSU chances are less than 1%. Not saying he will go to UC but he isn't going to BSU.

Berry had red flags all over prior to him signing with UD and then UD released him for his off-court actions. He is a good player though, or at least a pretty good scorer.

Your right on both points

Davis closing in on decision

Huntington Prep (W.Va.) guard Jeremiah Davis is on the verge of making his college decision. “[The] weekend of the 12th he is,” coach Rob Fulford said.
The 6-foot-2 Davis holds offers from Indiana, Purdue, Xavier and Ball State, but Cincinnati is thought to be the frontrunner. “Appears that way,” Fulford said.

Davis listed as one of the top unsigned SG by ESPN.

Why they want him: Davis is an excellent scorer and passer. His passing and court vision might allow him to help at the point at times. Davis has a great feel for the game and is a very good perimeter rebounder who can start the break. He can finish through contact at the rim and knock down the open 3, although that is mostly off the catch.

Recruiting update: Hearing Cincinnati is out in front, but Indiana and hometown Ball State will not go away without a fight. Purdue was involved early but is no longer an option.

Some of the top high school boys' basketball teams - and prospects - will be headed to Sheldon Clark High School in Inez, Ky., for the Fast Lane Classic jamboree on Nov. 27.

The Fast Lane event has quickly established itself as one of the premier scrimmage days in the state.

Among the teams in the event will be Eastern, Bowling Green, Christian County, Clark County, Lafayette, Perry County Central, Elliott County, Huntington Prep and Durham (N.C.) Kestrel Heights.

The top prospects include Louisville commitment Chane Behanan of Bowling Green, Eastern's Remy Abell, Lyonell Gaines, Armon Marks and Kameron Woods, Clark County's Vinny Zollo and Robbie Stenzel and several prospects, including Jeremiah Davis of Huntington.

Jeff, when should we expect to hear something from Jeremiah Davis on his final decision? I really hope he decides to become a Bearcat!

Seems like he is a bearcat. Would like to get a 6'10 JUCO who won't need a big learning curve.

yes this has to become are number one focus right away

I agree, I think juco will be the right way to go for the last spot. As excited as I am about next years class, I'm not excited about having so many freshman on the roster. Will be sweet when they're all juniors though.

You have to consider they'll have Dixon (And most likely Gates) as seniors to teach them the Bearcat way... what our last very large freshmen class (2007), didn't have.

SG Jeremiah Davis could end things soon

6-foot-3 shooting guard Jeremiah Davis could make his decision this week, reports ESPN.com's Dave Telep.

ESPN talked to Davis earlier in the week and Cincinnati is a major factor with the Indiana native.

"Davis said that he'd like to visit Oklahoma State and Indiana if possible with hometown Ball State still playing a part in his recruitment," Telep said. "Ole Miss and Baylor reached out as well. Don't put it past Davis to end his recruitment in the next week, therefore making Ball State and Cincinnati favorable destinations."

Davis is a very solid player. He may not be the 5 star player everyone though he once was but he is definately a top 100 and probably more around 50 than 100.

He can shoot, pass and rebound. When I watch him I see a more polished Dion Dixon. Can definately run the point. I think he will be a PG.

Jeremiah Davis landed just outside the Top 100 in the NBE Post-Summer Class of 2011 Top 150, holding spot #106. Davis will be a quality addition for a program on his list when he makes his announcement in the coming days.

He will sign on “Friday, when he gets home with parents,” Huntington Prep (W.Va.) coach Rob Fulford said.

The 6-foot-2 guard is looking like he will decide between a future home in the Big East or Big 12.

“Looking like Cincinnati and Oklahoma State,” Fulford said. “No official to Oklahoma State, just Cincinnati. [He's] discussing with family on Friday evening and will make the call.”

Ball State and Indiana have also been involved recently but now look to be out of the mix.

I expect to hear something Saturday. He is meeting with his family tonight so there is an outside shot at something getting out late this evening, but I'm guessing a Saturday announcement is what we'll see. On an official level anyway. A "leak" or heads up could come late this evening.

I wonder if LeBryan Nash will affect his decision at all. It's no secret that top tier talent often draws in other recruits. I'm sure immediate playing time will also be a topic for discussion. I'm cautiously optimistic.
