The Indiana Elite/Team Indiana 17s didn't miss Etherington on Saturday, blowing out two teams in the pool play competition. Muncie (Ind.) guard Jeremiah Davis has played solid and just keeps getting better and better. Davis said he has a list of 10 schools and is open, noting he liked Indiana a lot.

Muncie Central junior Jeremiah Davis said Arizona State recently entered the mix in his recruitment. The 6-3 guard said he is still waiting for "everything to line up perfect" before he makes a decision.
Davis has offers from a number of schools, including Ball State, Cincinnati, Dayton, Indiana, Michigan State, Purdue, Tennessee, UNLV and Xavier.

During the National Basketball Players Association top-100 Camp in Charlottesville, Va., Davis said he's recently heard from St. John's, Oregon State, Cleveland State and Wake Forest.

Davis had already been listing IU, Michigan State, Arizona State, Cincinnati, Xavier, Purdue, Ohio State, Tennessee, UNLV, Dayton, Miami (Fla.), DePaul and Ball State.

Davis is already sorting through a laundry list of scholarship offers. Arizona State and Florida International threw their names in the mix this month with Ball State, Cincinnati, Dayton, Indiana, Miami, Michigan State, Ohio State, Purdue, Tennessee, UNLV and Xavier.

"He's got offers from a lot of different schools," Elite coach Mark Adams said. "It's important for us that he continues to play, because when he plays well, we're tough to beat. Offer wise, it's not that important for him. He's set there."

star_recruits Muncie Central guard Jeremiah Davis (2011) doesn't appear any closer to deciding than he was in April or May.

I gotta feeling he'll be a Bearcat when all is said and done.......for some reason.

I also feel that JD will be a bearcat because he sees that he will be a viable addition to the team and that cronin really wants him to join his club. As for the other teams recruiting him maybe only indiana will have the open spot for him to come in and start right away.

The recruitment of Davis appears to be slacking off considerably. Hearing, and reading this over and over again. Coaches are wondering if his play has plateaued while other's have risen. One thing is for sure, Davis has not had a good spring or summer. I've attached a paragraph from an Indiana U. website.

Lastest comments: Davis has taken a tumble in the national rankings and his play in Indianapolis probably won’t help the cause. One observation that stood out: Many of the strengths Davis previously used to separate himself from opponents no longer appear to exist. Defenders don’t allow him to bully his way to the basket by using his strength. His first step is adequate, but it’s not a sure thing he’ll get past his defender. He’s still a very good prospect that excels in transition, is a solid passer and a great kid. Michigan State, once considered the school to beat, was noticeably absent from both of his games on Tuesday.

Jeremiah Davis

Just heard some good facts about Mr. Davis and his college destination. This does not meen this is guaranteed true but the person i heard this from is very creditable. So consider this just good info that could or couldnt be true. JD is planning on giving his verbal to the Bearcats here real soon as long as Michigan ST does not offer him a scholarship. Obviously JD's parents want him to go to UC, Even though his recruiting has cooled off UCs Larry Davis has been very in touch with JD, and JD absolutely adores Mick and Larry. Also I have heard that JD keeps in touch daily with Khristian Smith and considers him a very close friend and really would like to play with him at the collegiate level. Ive heard Mick thinks Khristian has the potential to be a very good SG, and everyone thought that we got Khristian to help with getting Teague but in all actuality that it wasnt for Teaugue that it was for Mr. Davis. Mick had known for a while that MT wasnt coming here and knew way before he let Khristian Smith verbal that MT wasnt going to be a Bearcat. So that can only lead to 2 things either Khristian really deserves a Scholarship
(which i think he has alot of potential) or getting him just makes us that much closer to getting Davis. TAKE THIS WITH A GRAIN OF SALT UNTIL IT ACTUALLY HAPPENS BUT ATLEAST ITS SOMETHING POSITIVE!!! Dont be suprised if Davis is a Bearcat when its all said and done.

Been out of state but if this is true it is great news to be treated with on my return. I would agree with much you wrote. MSU is the leader if they want to. The thing about Davis is you hear this criticism about him from recruiting sites, and then see he has scored 18-20 pts. in the game he just played in. He is not the most athletic, fastest, or flashiest of players, but he gets results. I think that is the fear. How will that translate on the D1 level? I have my doubts that he will be a top flight lead guard in college. But many thought the same thing about Steve Logan. Just a comparison in criticisms, not a prediciton of Davis success in college.

There were folks that said on some nights Khristian Smith was the best player on his team. He is gifted but was raw in his perimeter skills. As I have said, I've heard his work is really paying off.

Completely false...

Thanks Cincinnati Insanity for some optimistic news. I look at all the UC free sites a couple of times a day, and except for Bearcattalk.com, it seems all of the news is pessimistic about 2011 basketball recruiting. I hang my hat on the fact that Mick and the staff tends to be tight lipped on recruiting and plays things close to the vest, and remain hopeful that the 2011 class is still going to a very good one.

Like I said before this was hear say, but was told to me by a very creditable person. I think that the only people who thought we had a shot with Teague was bearcat fans.. Although we were mentioned every once in a while when it came down to where he was going to school Everyone heard it was between UofL and UK i dont remember any single report that we were actually in his final schools.
