That's horseshit on Kelly's part. I was ok when he left and understood why but stay the fuck away from our recruits. Douche.

recruiting is an amoral activity. Kelly struck out with almost every QB he offered, he somehow managed to fumble away Bubba Starling who most people thought was a ND lock. He is going to get twitchy now with his QB offers

I just hope he strikes out more and has to take a scrub QB. I know recruiting is an amoral activity but it just plain sucks balls. Hopefully Coyne isn't swayed by Kelly and the painting formerly known as touchdown Jesus.

If Coyne sticks, and I think he will....I'm guessing ND will not take a scrub. They have two in the (most likely) fold for 2012 already with Mauk and Crow.

Notre Dame doesn't really need a QB in this class. They took 3 last year, 4 if you count Derek Roback as a QB rather than as an athlete.

That/s awesome. Glad to see he is getting some recognition. It's obviously great for him but also good for us to be brining in more four star recruits, if only to be able to tell other top recruits.

That event down in Florida really hurt Patrick's stock in the Recruiting analysts eyes... both Scout and Rivals, who had previously upgraded him to a 4 star recruit, have down graded him back to a 3 star recruit.

Yeah it does seem the Gridiron Kings event did hurt his stock. He really got pumped up during the spring because of how well he showed at some of the camps/combines. He just needs to have a great senior season. He's still a little raw but has huge potential because of his big arm and great athleticism. I see they still have Michael Brewer as a 4 star QB which is odd because what I saw of the Gridiron Kings championship game he was getting eaten alive by the southeast team. He had at least 3 picks if I recall.

In the scout QB rankings, he actually went up a few spots, even though he dropped to a 3 star (because of newly evaluated players)... though in the rivals ranking he fell some in the QB rankings...

Regardless of rankings, I wish Patrick a full and speedy recovery. If he plays by week 7 or 8 it will show he is a strong competitor and I like that in my Bearcats. That said, I wouldn't mind terribly if he healed fully and completely, graduates early and participates in UC sping practice.

Hopefully Coyne can return to 100% this season and continue getting some more work in. He's still a little bit raw and is only going to benefit from every game that he plays in. Obviously his health is the most important thing but it would be great if he can return to action still this year and continue developing as a QB.

MikeDyer Badin senior QB Patrick Coyne will sign with UC on Feb. 2 at 12:30 p.m. at Badin High School
