Moeller junior WR Monty Madaris is one of the state’s top players in the 2012 class.

Madaris received an offer from UC in late November and will likely continue to receive strong interest throughout this winter and next spring.

Moeller coach John Rodenberg said Alabama was impressed with the wide receiver’s video highlights.

“Monty will be a major D-1 recruit next year,” Rodenberg said.

Cincinnati (Ohio) Archbishop Moeller receiver Monty Madaris confirmed he received his fifth scholarship offer from Indiana.
The Hoosiers join Michigan State, Boston College, Cincinnati and Bowling Green in offering the 6-foot-2, 190-pound Madaris.

Madaris is also receiving strong interest from Iowa, Kentucky and Wisconsin.

"Moeller senior WR Monty Madaris is expected to make his college decision the weekend of Jan. 21, according to the family.

Madaris has been considering schools that include UC, Michigan State and University of Kentucky among his final choices.

Madaris, a Division I first-team all-state selection, was the Associated Press Southwest District offensive player of teh year. He had 56 receptions for 1,137 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also had 280 rushing yards and two touchdowns."

If you have seen him play you know he is special. I think he would see time from day 1 at UC. Big, strong and fast. I keep hearing people say his speed is the only knock but he was always the fastest kid on the field vs Moellers schedule.

Would love for a local kid to stay in house so we can watch him.

When announcing at school, these things usually happen at lunch or right after school. So I am going to guess sometime around noon or after 3.
