Maybe. The tweets I read made it sound like his mind was made up but he needed to speak with a couple people before announcing anything. Guess we'll have to wait a little longer to find out.

I agree. I don't know a whole lot about MSU's depth chart at receiver but UC is pretty deep with McClung, Chisum, Thompkins all back next year among others. I don't know if that had anything to do with it but it may have.
 
I was really hoping he was going to commit to UC. As a Moeller grad I had heard a lot of "inside info" regarding Monty but I always take that info with a grain of salt. Some people I know who are close with the family Madaris lived with swore that he was going to sign with UC and claimed it was a done deal before Christmas. Another kid I know who's cousin is part of the football team's recruiting staff told me a couple of weeks ago that he heard Madaris was 100% going to play for MSU, but the kid is a huge UC hater and Xavier fan so I never listen to anything he says.

I NEVER trust my "sources" when it comes to stuff like this. I watched Madaris play 3 times this year and he is the real deal. I would have LOVED to see him in a UC jersey. Good luck to him at MSU.
 
just another in the long list of local guys that think they are too good for UC (or at least their handlers). Rather go after guys from Georgia, Florida and Tennessee that have a chip on their shoulder than overrated local guys.

As for the "overrated" comment... No way. As a moeller grad I attended alot of their games this season, Monty was the best on the field every game. Its very unfortunate that Moeller refused to target him more then they did.
 
It's not over yet people. He did not sign with Michigan State tonight and is still considering his options. Hopefully he sleeps on it and decides he wants to be a part of this UC recruiting class.
 
Per tweet from Mike Dyer, Madaris has not signed with Michigan State, apparently he is having second thoughts. It ain't over until it's over.

Not sure what to make of this. It could just be that he was sick today.
 
rumors of other programs like OSU, WVU or ND getting involved. His recruitment is getting crazy
