Looks like he's from North Carolina, but plays in Virginia. So while VTech is closer, it's not necessarily local, but being from the NC means he might have grown up wanting to play in the ACC.

Off of Bearcat Banter:

Dave Telep @DaveTelep: Massanutten PG Corbin Collins is now 2012 not 2013. LSU, VaTech, Central Florida & Cincinnati. Those are offers.

First name is actually spelled Corban. Averaged 25 ppg, 8 apg, and 4.5 rpg this past season (http://www.thesabre.com/news_archive/new...ting-1.php).

Link to an article about him from Massanutten's site: http://www.militaryschool.com/page.cfm?p=384

From the article:
Quote:
"Corban plays the point guard position for us 100 percent of the time," Myers said. "He is 6'3", 190 pounds. He doesn't have an ounce of fat on him. He has a college-ready body. He's much faster than you expect for his size. He can shoot it pretty well at times. I wouldn't say he's lights out, but he can get it rolling. When he's making outside shots, he's really tough to guard."

Asked what college coaches seem to like the most about Collins, Myers said: "The biggest thing is he can get his shot at any time. He can get into the mid-range and pull up. He's never a liability at 3s. A lot of guards are fast, quick and strong, but they can't shoot from the outside. He is strong enough to get to the hole. Even at the highest level. Fishburne couldn't stop him at all. He's also able to find guys."

Joey Natale @Coast2CoastHoop: RT @MarcusHelton: Cincinnati is the leader for Massanutten Military (VA) G Corbin Collins. He will graduate this year instead of in 2013.

Moved him to 2012 based on the possibility he could sign and play this upcoming season. If not I will move him back.

It would be nice, to finally have a back up PG for Cash.
The offense bogs down too much, when he goes out.
