Xavier players have a nun that does all their homework for them, no wonder they have high graduation rates......
He had two surgeries to repair his ACL causing him to miss his junior and senior year. Then when he finally rehabbed enough to come back he was really out of shape. Still showed skill but nothing that would catch the eye of any high major coach. Then he went prep where he finally got back into basketball shape. Started dominating at Queen City Prep and UC was the first high major to take notice early on in his season. Jamaree took a visit and committed. Nothing was missed by other coaches. He is just one of those kids whose circumstances kept him out of the limelight. UC was lucky enough to find him early and get him to commit before the other big boys got involved.
I know we've talked before about recruits/players reading the board. Not sure how many of you follow Jamaree on Twitter, but he posted a picture of this post by Jack and said it's the most true statement he's seen about him yet.
So two things, well done Jack and lastly just remember these young men do read your comments, let's try and remember that when we post.
Excited to see this young man play at UC and see what he will bring to the table, there is a lot of potential there I'm glad we got in on him early and got the commit. We can use a big man with scoring skills, that's for sure.

Adding to it. If you saw some negative comment about you saying you were out of shape or just couldnt shoot what would you do? I know i would work harder at those things listed, because chances are if other people are discussing it, its probably true. I would work to prove those people saying those things, that with hard work, I can change and be a better player. But thats just me.
Sometimes it takes people you dont know saying things about you to realize, maybe I am doing it wrong and need to change or work harder
I agree to many people are quick to put someone down or be negative about them on here before they have even seen these players suit up in the red and black. I say be excited give them a chance if you want to critique them do it after you have seen them play, but at least give them a shot to show you what they can do first in person.I think that depends on the person, you could just as easily have someone see that and think, why the hell would I go to that school if that's what the fans think of me. It could go either way with that.
Bottom line recruits read stuff like this and people want to go where they are going to be accepted and loved by the fans. If I were in there position and saw people bashing me before they even saw me play I sure as heck wouldn't want to go there or be excited to go there if I had already signed. Posters need to be more aware of that and careful with what they say if you really care about signing kids and the program getting better and better. Also not saying this is for all recruits some could give a crap less, but would rather stick on the safe side.I agree to many people are quick to put someone down or be negative about them on here before they have even seen these players suit up in the red and black. I think when all is said and done, if Jamaree stays healthy, people will be happy he became a Bearcat. The kid has put lots of time in getting in shape and injury recovery. That says something about his heart. Sounds like a Bearcat to me.
Anyone know if he is going to play in the Deveroes Summer League? If not, can someone ask him on twitter? I usually try to pick a night where the most Bearcats are in action to go over and watch.....
Yes he has stated on twitter already that he is playing in the league this year. And I believe I saw that it is now the City Gear Summer League instead of Deveroes.
He was 240 and now hes 270 according to the UC website...thats a MAN. Has anyone seen him on campus at all? how does he look? As in how does he look for a guy thats 270 LBS? also saw on the UC site he averaged 21 points a game this past year at Prep school. Hopefully he can get cleared and contribute some this season
