He has competitve intangibles and talent. Wow, what a future the Bearcats backcourt has if Morman joins KJ and TC!! Add Guyn, Davis, Sanders and Thomas!! Wow!!

Since trimming his list to Rutgers and Cincinnati, the chatter concerning Morman has cooled. I thought he was close to announcing his decision in September. Is it possible that eligibility issues have delayed the process, or is he going to reassess his college options once he establishes himself in Florida at his new school?

I'm not sure he ever trimmed is list to UC and Rutgers.

edit: nm, thinking of someone else...My guess is if he has eligibility schools are going to wait on him.

Visits Rutgers this weekend. Coach Jackson has done a good job recruiting him. He is still waiting to qualify but it would not surpise me if he announces soon after his visit to Rutgers.

DeShaun Morman 2013 6'4 G Faith Baptist HS (FL) (VA Assault) visits Rutgers this weekend with teammate PF Demetrius Henry.

Locking down Morman would give us a nice in with Henry.....

that makes it sound like he is a rutgers lean?

Morman is the player I really want. But now we only have 1 scholarship to give and we need a big man. Frustrating. I think Morman is an impact player.

With the 4 guard offense, maybe signing Morman is the plan.

I think Mick would take Mormon over a big. Don't forget that it is completely possible SK goes pro after this season. I know he has stated he wants to play his senior year here but if he blows up and wins Big East player of the year, he has to go pro.

This is a very real possibility. The signing of Strickland makes this possible. As I posted on another thread, Jackson, Rubles, Nyarsuk will be back and Gaines is showing progress. That gives you 5 bigs. If I could sign Lawrence though it all changes but Morman is more than a consolation prize.

How many schollies do they have left? I still think they need another big man, and I'm guessing they'd go JUCO. Like you said, in 2013 they will have Jackson, Rubles, Nyarsuk and Gaines but in 2014 they will have Gaines and the new big man. Gaines still has a lot of work to do to be productive and who knows about the new guy. Even if he is a stud and can play immediately they'd probably still need a quality backup and I can't imagine they'll get an immediate impact guy in 2014 so it's best to find one in 2013 that will have an extra year to develop.
