I liked Davis' offensive game. I think he could have added a lot on that end of the court. Too bad he never really bought in to the D side of the ball.

I get chills dreaming of him at PG with this team. Without a doubt was our best playmaker and that's including SK.

you must have a cold. Davis wasn't on the floor nearly enough in his time here to validate such lofty praise or expectations.

Morman was listed as 6'4" in HS he's not 6'2"

Doesn't really matter. If he can play, he can play. Don't care if he is 6'2" or 6'4" or 5'9". Mormon is what he is. Height is not as important for a guard as it is for an interior player. Actually, length is more important than height at every position.

God seriously. He's like 6'3". He's a guard; an inch or two isn't a big deal.

I generally like what I've seen on Purcell though (albeit from a couple YouTube videos). Freakishly gifted athletic-wise. Not a bad shooter or scorer. His FG% and 3PT% are great, but will not translate that easily to D1. 41% is great from 3 point land, but he attempts under 3 per game, meaning he probably only shoots when very open. Looks quick but not exceptionally. I like the Dion Dixon comparison, although Dixon was a very solid defender, and we really don't know what Purcell's defense is like. But looking at his build and abilities, he does remind me of Dixon. Would be curious what kind of rating he'd get in updated ratings (I'd guess 3 stars). I think he'd be a solid addition.

Would love to see someone in a Bearcat uniform again that looks to attack the rim when driving from the perimeter. I wish someone would show Shaq this kids video, or some video of James White.

Recruiting difficulties

Everybody wants a light out shooter....Mick wants lock down defenders and rebounders - seems we can get (or train) the defenders. If a kid had all of those attributes he would be a one and done, hence a KY recruit. So far, UC just doesn't get those guys. We get the guys who have strong parts to their game, but not a complete package - not always a bad thing, as they tend to stick around for 4 years and develop into good players.

Flight White wasn't a traffic dunker, though, and it drove me nuts. The guy could hit his head on the rim and I swear he'd rather just pull up for a jumper than drive on someone. Which often worked, don't get me wrong, but he was always hesitant with defense around. I challenge you to find a video of White dunking on someone or in traffic. They're all on fast breaks after steals. Now if you want to show him footage of someone dunking in traffic, there's about 300 dunks of Hicks and Maxiell that fit that. But to do those, Shaq needs to just about double his arm strength.

Hicks and Maxiell were post players

Reports are purcells dream school is Arkansas. If they offer he will most likely accept however they are yet to offer.

Kansas State is the latest school to show interest in Devaughn Purcell (6-5/G/2014) of Eastern Oklahoma.

Mick wants someone who can shoot and play defense. In the absence of being a shooter he wants athletic guys that can develop into scorers but play defense in the meantime.
