I just don't get it. Makes no sense to me after all the horrible derogatory comments were made towards Yancy.

Maybe him and Yancy don't get along and he thought Yancy deserved the comments because if him and Yancy was close im sure he would of been at UC if we wanted him.

He and Yancy are not close....

I heard that too. It really does make sense, since they aren't close. He wanted to be close to family in Cincy, but didn't want to be known as "Yancy's cousin." Gets a fair start at Xavier where he won't have any association with Yancy. Well, except for the shootout, where he'll probably get a lot of crap from us UC fans ;)

Which he totally should. :) There will be many entertaining story lines and punch lines coming his way.

The real story will be to see how Tre Scott does compared to Kaiser Gates.

Hopefully this doesn't turn out as bad as the Trey Burke vs Ge'lawn Guyn comparison or going back further the Chris Lofton vs Jihad Muhammed.

Read an article in the Enquirer about Gates picking eggs. No mention of Yancy til the end and in one sentence it says he is cousin of former UC player Yancy, BUT they are not close. Hahaha had to throw that one in there.

Difference though is that the staff did not take Guyn over Trey Burke. Chris Lofton was unsigned in the late period and would have been a Bearcat but Huggins did not think he was athletic enough. He of course ended up at Tennesse and had a great career. Bad talent evaluation by your avatar. Jihad Muhammed had committed to Baylor and Scott Drew had just taken over the mess that Dave Bliss left him. He was their top recruit and Huggins basically stole him from Drew. I remember reading an article at that time that Drew thought the pursuit of a commited recruit by Huggs was unethical. I doubt that he has forgiven Huggins even to this day.

Or more recently, Jered Terrell Vs. Deshaun Mormon, since we stopped recruiting him after Mormon was eligible

tre scott is one of those guys for us that you really don't know what your getting because there is no video on him. We just have to trust the coaches know what they are doing.
