39% shooting and 31% from three for a SG? Is he just really off his game right now?

Maybe the travel and tough competition? It's interesting to see bc I never really consider HS FG%. How do those numbers stack up % wise to HS Caupain, or KJ or other guards we've had recently?

Talked to a buddy of mine who happens to be from Alpharetta, GA (suburb of Atlanta) this weekend. He said nothing but good things about Beasley, only makes me hope he leaves the state of Georgia! By far, my favorite prospect in this class.

Hopefully getting in on him early will be helpful to us when he makes his decision. The amount of players we are starting to recruit in Georgia could also be helpful.

It seems the Cats are looking a lot lately to Georgia players. Is there an assistant coach on staff with good connections there?

No. The Atlanta area is BY FAR the top overall for prep sports right now. Don't know if it been like this but its top level talent at all levels down here. You have over 1000 d1 players in football or basketball just from gwinnett county alone.

Yes, there is a coach with great connections in the area. Larry Davis was the head coach at Furman and recruited the Carolina's and Georgia for a long time.

OK that's a bonus I wasn't aware of.Also we've been recruiting in Georgia for years now. All schools with the resources to get to Georgia recruit here.

He seems to be covering the whole south, finding Strickland in North Carolina. Beasley, in Georgia. Who recruited Cobb out of Florida ? Was it Davis also??

would we have immediate playing time? Players of his caliber starts from day one or at least want guaranteed playing time.

Jermaine Lawrence was higher rated and he did not start, he wasn't promised PT.

I also don't think that Mick promises PT. Elijah Stewart was noted as having a chance to play for PT if he came here. You can draw your own conclusion on why he would rather go to USC.

Players of his caliber??? Beasley is a 3* recruit and rated #137 by rivals. Not close to elite or upper tier. Quadri and Clark are both higher rated. Will they start? Were they guaranteed PT?

That hasn't been updated. He shot up to #31 in the 247 rankings. He will easily be a consensus top 50 player when the final 2015 rankings are done. He has elite talent.

I know it still hasn't been updated. If he is #31 and in top 50, JL would still have been more heralded and he did not start and was not guaranteed PT. The same things were said about Clark as well and he peaked around #100.
