interest doesn't equal offer. If UK offers he's gone but Calipari brings in lots of recruits that he doesn't offer. Especially since he is from Kentucky. Of course Calipari may change his recruiting philosophy a little after this year.

When he was a little kid he was shooting hoops in his back yard pretending he was making the last second game winning shot for UK.

Ohio University offered Holmes sophomore point guard James “Beetle” Bolden, according to Holmes basketball coach Jason Booher.

Bolden, who also has an offer from Xavier, was an All-Sweet Sixteen state tournament selection this past season.

Bolden, who is 5 feet 11, is visiting Purdue Thursday and UC next week, Booher said.

UC, Kentucky, Purdue, West Virginia, Alabama and Butler are showing interest.

Bolden averaged 18.5 points, 4.0 assists, 4.6 rebounds, 2.6 steals and shot 42 percent from 3-pointers. He shot 80 percent from the free-throw line.

Correction from earlier: Holmes 2015 guard James "Beetle" Bolden visiting UC Thursday, April 25, says Jason Booher #enqr #UC #Bearcats

Yea I agree with Jeff. Being a 2015 target his recruitment really is just beginning. UK has shown interest which if they offer would obviously be a big hurdle. We are there with him early and he has enough interest to come visit. Staff just has to put the time in and see what happens.
