'16 OH PF Nick Ward

Michigan State has made inroads with him early and Ohio State is always a threat. I believe this is one of the guys Mick has worked hard on during his year off. I haven't heard an official update on him in a while.

Ohio State got a commitment from PF Derek Funderberk today (no relation to Lawrence Funderburke who also played for OSU). I think they will probably back off of Ward now, I really hope we can land this kid.
 
I believe us and michigan state are right there but michigan state might get a commitment from the swanigan kid next week and put them out of the race too.
 
Dayton is creeping up towards top of his list as well. Mich St lean unless they get a PF to verbal before him does.

Don't matter if Izzo want him. Michigan State has signed 2 very good big men at Wards position and unless they are one and dones he may not get a significant amount of playing time. The PT is here for him if he chooses us and that maybe more than anything is what high level recruits want.

Easy sell. We're close to home. Plus, we'll have made 6 straight tournaments by the time he gets here. And we lose Ellis and DeBerry. I know he came on an unofficial visit. We gotta get in the driver's seat. Would be a huge get to start a crucial class.

Now if he waits to sign until around this time next season we are in trouble. That would signal he is going to wait to see how the situation at Michigan State pans out.

They also got a commit from 2016 C Micah Potter today.
