Any reason not to offer Simpson at this point? He's a consensus top 100 guy. 3 open 'ships, never hurts to have depth at the 1.

Would never hurt since rumblings are with Jenifer being a true point they want to play Capuain off the ball more.

Cumberland has the exposure and credibility to help show other recruits that UC is a good school to go to. Who knows where this could lead for UC going forward.

I'll take 3 more players from king James team. Sometimes just to sit at table u have sacrifice. We should make sure we always get one of the top 3 players off that team every year.

Simpson retweeted:might as well take that UC offer and wrap it up.

I'm guessing we pick up a fourth to the 2016 class pretty soon. It's shaping up to be Mick's best yet. It's super encouraging to see the momentum building year in and year out.

This is so exciting. Tons of momentum for the program right now.

Guys!! I am soooo pumped. What a pleasant surprise when I decided to check in on my phone this afternoon!!
So he played on KingJames AAU Team?? Coached by whom? 1 of Lebron's HS teammates?? I know there was a lot of banter about lack of OH recruiting (need a Kerry Coombs for B-ball...). What I have been wondering for a while is: can we hire one of his guys (AAU coach whom he is tight with)??? Can we be super cool again like we were with Nike and the jumpman uni's? I know we are with Under Armour, not Nike, but can u imagine Lebron courtside if we make it in the Top 10?? Like he was for OSU and the NC game. He is the closest thing to Jordan (brand recognition). Can anyone provide some insight???
I have been thinking of this for quite some time. This could be our chance to be trendy. Be able to recruit downhill a little. Are any of his posse / friends hot in AAU - with contacts? Do they want to make the jump to D1? We are in a talent rich state with the worlds most recognizable player born and raised here. I know he likes OSU, but they underachieve in the tourney. We need a deep run this yr to jumpstart things.

LeBron has been a huge OSU fan his whole life...I can't imagine the commitment of Cumberland will suddenly make him a huge UC fan/supporter. I think the only time we'll see him in Fifth Third is if the Cavs play a preseason game there in a few years after we renovate.

So I watched some tape of Cumberland, impressed with his positioning on the court, his vision and seems to have a high "basketball IQ" (even though I'm not a fan of that term), he distributes well and looks smooth to the rim. A couple things I noticed to improve upon are the high dribble which someone mentioned earlier and the most important in my mind is his follow through on shots. Yes he makes shots at a high percentage, but I strongly believe he could be even better if he had a better follow through, he's very short and jerky now, get that smoothed out and hold it and he will be even more consistent. This kids future and potential are so high, I love this signing and the others this week as well. How exciting is it to be a Bearcat fan?

I was really impressed with him creating offense, whether it is for himself, getting fouled or drawing double team and passing it. We desperately need guys who can provide that on offense.

He reminds me some of Sean Kilpatrick on a bigger natural frame. I don't know if he has the foot speed to become an NBA player but he certainly has the potential to be a great college scorer.

Perfect. While having NBA players is great for recruiting and showcasing your school, I'll take the guys that are studs for 4 years in college over the ones that play a year or two, then bolt before winning anything.

I like how Kansas has it. Obviously they have some one and dones (mostly guys who should've stayed a little longer, besides Wiggins). But the Perry Ellis, Morris twins, Aldrich, Withey, Chalmers, Rush, Selden kind of guys stay and develop for 3-4 years and still have a chance to make it to the NBA. We won't consistently recruit on their level, but I agree that the SK, Clark and Cumberland types are great for program stability. And those guys will still get their shot at the next level after they leave here.
