RaiQuan Gray speaks on receiving Bearcats offer.
“It was real cool, they had been in touch with me since Monday evening,” said Gray. “They had reached out to my mom and then I found out that Coach Cronin and the Bearcats offered me. I told them thank you and they just let me know they like how I’ve worked and improved on my game and how I carry myself on the court and off the court. It was right nice because the offer came out of the blue.”
Per Gray the Bearcats staff was at all four of his games for the Under Armour Camp in Indianapolis over the weekend.
Gray talks about the teams that have offered him.
“Cincinnati, Illinois, Ole Miss, Rutgers, Auburn and a few others that I can’t think of off top of my head,” said Gray.
Gray also plans to set up a visit come fall, but currently nothing is set in stone.
Gray talks about some of the players he models his game after.
“When I talk to coaches they say Draymond Green, but I take a lot of stuff from Carmelo Anthony, I like his game a lot,” said Gray.
Gray plans on going to the All-American and Top 100 camp, but hopes he’s invited to the Adidas camp also.
Gray also speaks on which past Bearcat player he liked watching a lot.
“The guy I liked watching the most was Sean Kilpatrick, he’s nice,” said Gray.
