Hall of famer? Because that means what anymore? I'm sorry but the notion that being a hall of famer makes you a great ball player is played out and simply isn't accurate anymore. Watch out Melo fans this is gonna hurt: Carmelo is nothing more than a glorified scorer who does nothing else productive in the course of a game. Let's not forget who was also on that Syracuse team when they won the title. Granted he played well, but he certainly wasn't alone. My simple point is that type of player doesn't fit what Mick Cronin wants.

haha being a hall of famer makes you a great ball player soory.

Nothing else productive? he got 10 boards a game in college which is more than any guy on our team.

I'm not saying Cronin wouldn't take him. I'm saying that's how egregious the idea of him not taking him bc he's "like Carmelo" would be imo.
So basically the thread got turned into a opportunity for people to take a shot at our coach by implying Mick wouldn't want him because he plays like Carmelo?

Oddly enough some have implied we were recruiting him at one time.

Damn dude nobody took any shots at your coach the shots was fired at gray. Calm down dude. Smh, you really need a vacation.

All I said was is Mick wouldn't have a Melo type player on his team. Just the way he operates, we've seen it before and will see it again. Not sure why the big surprise or outrage about me saying that. By the way, being a great player and putting up big numbers are two completely different things. Carmelo Anthony is James Harden and visa versa. You really think either is a true hall of famer? I sure as hell don't, but I'm sure they will get in.

as pure scorers go both will probably get in. I really haven't given much thought to the guys who haven't got in. If winning a title is paramount like it is in other sports it may be dicey.

There is no NBA Hall of Fame. It's just a Basketball Hall of Fame. Carmelo's Gold Medals and National Championship help his resume. He's a Hall of Famer 1000%.
