Hi all,

First of all I would like to congratulate y'all for getting to the NCAA Tournament. Being an SMU alum, I was thrilled to see yall in the tourney despite the hardships of this past season. Y'all are a very tough team and I hope y'all can make a deep run in the tourney. I think we can all agree that it is extremely disappointing seeing our conference held to such a low standard but I am happy that we got two teams in and I'll be rooting for the Bearcats just as hard as I will be for the Mustangs!

Having said that, I had bought two tickets for both sessions since I did not know which session SMU would be playing in. Since we will be playing in the first session, I have two tickets to the second session available (Kentucky v. TBD and Cincinnati v. Purdue). I will list them on stubhub if I have to, but they take so much off of the top that I figured id try to go straight to y'all first. the tickets are section 119, row V, seats 11-12. I am asking for around $300 per ticket.

As I am new to y'alls forum, if this is the wrong forum to be posting this in/if y'all would like me to just delete the post entirely please just send me a message and I will promptly delete this. We do this over on Ponyfans from time to time so I figured I would try here as well. If there is any interest in buying these tickets please let me know. I can mail the tickets to you or we can meet in person as I will be arriving in Kentucky Thursday morning and can meet up in person if that is preferred.

Thank you!

No problem with you posting that here. Best of luck to you guys! You should've been better than a 6 seed...

Seems like you made a good investment. The afternoon session tickets are quite cheap but the evening ones are going for a pretty high price with Cincinnati and Kentucky (Purdue too) being in that session.

Agreed but, to be honest, I thought the highest seed they were going to give us would be a 5 seed come time for the AAC tournament. I am more surprised Temple didn't make it into the field. They seemed to have been snubbed in a similar fashion to us last year. The sooner we get someone on the committee the better. We seem to be looked down upon pretty drastically by the P5 in basketball.

To be honest I really just wanted to get the SMU games but they didn't announce the sessions until late Sunday evening and I had just decided to buy the whole thing in fear of missing out on our first appearance in 22 years. It'll be great if I can recoup some of my investment by selling the second session though!

Yeah, holy balls I considered going with it so close but those tickets cost more than a flight somewhere. My goodness the commercialization of college sports is just incredible these days, you can get cheaper Bengals seats

Honestly, its amazing when you see the large crowds for such events, conference tourney games like the ACC, BIG 10 & 12, all these NCAA games will be filled. Sometimes I wonder where these people get the money and time to attend such expensive events. Between travel, hotels, food, booze, and the cost of tickets you're spending a ton.

I would be interested to see how much debt people have but yet they decide to attend such events instead of being more financially responsible. But at the same time, life is short, take advantage of it while you can.

People who got the jobs out of college that the college promised they would get :p

There's a reason the red sweater section wears red sweaters even at 90 degrees. They get cold easily at their age :D

Edit: oh I guess some places give out free tickets through work, must be nice haha!

I was thinking of trying to dump my first session tickets but saw them selling for 15 bucks on sites. For that I'll just go and watch the games and root on smu and the conference.

I agree the money for these things is a little ridiculous. Being able to drive down same day and drive back this year wasn't bad. If we lose I'm hoping to unload my Saturday tickets to a UK fan. Last year was a different story. The ticket for the game wasn't that expensive since I got it through the school and only had to pay for one session. The travel cost was another story. Spent several grand heading out to Spokane. My rule of thumb on something like that is make it a vacation and plan other stuff to do while you're there. Otherwise you're paying that just to see a game and that is ridiculous.

Hate to see the tough loss. I think it was a bad call. The American can't catch a break. What was the reaction inside the Yum?!

I didn't mind the goaltending call because in real time to me it looked like it, couple calls/no calls the possession before screwed smu. The crowd here booed the refs, UK fans included. Feeling is smu got jobbed.

You can't touch it on the way down if it is going to hit the rim. Impossible to judge in real time IMO.
