Eron Harris officially received his release today. Do the Cats try and get him?

West Virginia transfer Eron Harris has finally received his release. Told ESPN that Michigan's John Beilein has already contacted him today.

Yes they will go after him, we'll have to see when he sets his visits how seriously he's considering Cincinnati.

I've heard a hundred times he's looking to go closer to home. I know he's from Indy so I wonder how far Ann Arbor is from his hometown, and what his radius is. I'm sure UC is in there; I just wonder if he's really going to consider us.

I'm curious as to what impact the relationship between Bob Huggins and Mick Cronin would have on a decision to transfer here. Does Huggins give it his blessing knowing he will be in good company with his former assistant? Would it be considered a faux pas for Cronin to pursue him? I really don't know how that sort of dynamic works.

Highly sought after is an understatement....

In addition to the defending Big Ten Conference champion Wolverines and Purdue, Kyle Neddenriep of the Indianapolis Star reports Harris has already been contacted by Michigan State, Kentucky, Louisville, Ohio State, Illinois, Indiana, Notre Dame, Butler, New Mexico and UCLA, as of Wednesday afternoon.

Farad Cobb (6'1/G/2014) of NW Florida State is currently on an official visit to Cincinnati

"University of Tennessee at Chattanooga freshman Farad Cobb has been dismissed from the basketball team.

"Farad is no longer with us," coach John Shulman said Thursday. "It got to the point where as a head coach, you have to make tough decisions. It was nothing illegal that he did. It reached a point where we needed to head in a different direction, and so is he."

The 6-foot-1 point guard averaged 5.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 18.2 minutes per game. He started eight games this season. He did not play against Elon after getting arrested for underage drinking and disorderly conduct. The drinking charge has been dismissed and the disorderly charge will be dismissed in a year if stays out of trouble and completes three public work days.

"It's for the betterment of him and us," Shulman said. "I hope this decision helps Farad, too. He's a bright kid and a talented kid, and I hope he becomes a success."

Shulman said Cobb will remain on scholarship for the rest of the semester and attended study hall Thursday.

"I'm not going to speak on it," Cobb said when reached on his phone."

In his one year at Chattanooga, he dropped 21 on Kansas @ Kansas on 7-9 shooting from 3. It was a 14 point KU win (Chattanooga was up 8 at halftime).

He also had a 14 point, 4 assist game against Georgia Tech.

I like Cobb especially from beyond the arc. I think it's a definite sign of lack of confidence in being able to sign Haywood AND Stewart.

However Cobb seems to be a university of San Francisco lean he really enjoyed his visit to California seemed to love it on the west coast.

Can we keep the posts that are specifically about one person in that person's thread? I just googled a bunch of info on the kid and had no idea it was all in this thread. It makes it more confusing and splits up convos about one guy.
