2014 Spring Recruiting

BearcatTalk

Help Support BearcatTalk:

Havent heard anything on the white front concerning the bearcats although I find that possibility intriguing. I think the priority at this point would be Stewart. All along Mick has said he wanted to add a true wing. Cobb is not that as he is more of a combo, played pg predominantly last year, and is a bit undersized at 6"1. Stewart has had an official and is a 4* recruit at the position Cronin wants to sure up. If we can get him we will take him. After that your guess is as good as mine.
Where is open scholarship at? If JL was leaving he'll be gone by now or were not releasing him. He has no other reason to still be here he's back home with family schools out what's,the hold up?

My post was made under the assumption that JL was leaving. If he ends up staying obviously we would not have room unless someone else left.

I think come tomorrow, Monday, all the paper work will be taken care of and it will be adiós. No one wants to work on the weekend :)

I can see that but no way Lawrence IR somebody close wouldn't have made it official. This has as much truth to it than the Martin rumor. Getting Ellis back.makes whole situation look crazy. I don't think Lawrence leaving is done deal nor do I want him to.

Cincinnati needs a wing badly in either this class or '15, otherwise we will be seeing a lot of 3 guard line-ups in the next few years.

We need wing in this class that's willing to redshirt but gets valuable experience practicing with team.

He's gone, it isn't a rumor.

Name one thing Oscar could not do? And do not say dunk.

I did not say Oscar could not dunk. I said he did not dunk and he had reasons why he did not. At 6'5 he could have dunked whenever he wanted, but he thought it was a lower percentage shot than a layup in all most all cases. I remember watching him all the time, you can check out his book if you want confirmation. I do remember Adrian Smith (6'1 guard for the Cincinnati Royals) dunking in the NBA all star game at Cincinnati Gardens, that brought the house down.

Oscar could do any thing on the court he wanted to. I was responding to the dunk being so important.

Now that we officially have a scholarship available, what do we do with it?
Justin Martin? Elijah Stewart? Andrew White? Pocket it? How desperate are we to use it? Enough to consider Shreiner?

Ga. Tech's Robert Carter to transfer. He will be a jr sit out one year. On a bad team he was very good. Since Davis is in GA, PERFECT PLACE TO SHOW HIS SKILLS IN CINCI,
