Houston just landed the #6 recruit in the country for 2016 along with another #50 recruit. What is Tubs excuse for not getting big time in-city talent to escape? I like the recruiting in the south but our best chance at landing a top recruit is in state.

I don't know about in-state as Ohio State has a pretty firm grip on things but I definitely agree about in the metropolitan area of Cincinnati. Sure there might be a kid from up north somewhere that just doesn't like Ohio State for some reason and wants to play elsewhere, but I think there is plenty, plenty, plenty of talent in greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky that just staying home and getting playing time as a freshman is enough reason to stay here. While Cincinnati isn't going to be playing for a national title, we do win at a high level (seemingly at least, these last two years have been frustrating) and win our conference every year and we put guys in the NFL.

Imagine that at nippert, that would be insane. Here's a great article on gunner and the whole state of the team, this has the chance to be a special season

I really hope Gunner turns the corner this year. With all the hype surrounding him, he was essentially a freshman last year as he never took a snap at the collegiate level. Even worse he hadn't taken a snap in three years in real game action. He definitely showed why he was hyped but definitely showed some room for improvement. Mostly on his deep balls. If he can live up to his potential our offense could be insanely good. Especially playing in our conference.

I'm starting to get pretty excited for football season (probably bc I'm not used to being done with the Reds so early). I'm already planning a trip to Nippert. But it might be 2 trips if we have a big conference game, or host the conference championship. Last year was weird with the 2 byes weeks to start, playing at Paul Brown, and getting drilled in 3 straight games. I hope Gunner can turn that corner bc if we find a rhythm earlier this year (especially on defense), we should expect a double-digit win season.

Video doesn't do the stadium any justice. That thing is absolutely insanely huge.

I could see a scenario where a non-power school comes in ranked and respected to start a year, lose early to a top ranked team and come the end of the year there are a couple upsets in the conference championship games where the favorite team loses to a team from the other division that isn't that strong. Then I could see a one-loss non power school getting in. That's alot of chips falling your way.

Hey everybody, I got bored, so I decided to make this. It's not great by any means, but I guess some people might like it.
