It is natural as a fan to get frustrated when you invest time and mental energy into this like most of us do, no doubt. On the recruiting side, I feel for those that track a recruit for a few years and get hopes up only to have them dashed.

Can we start another thread called "general program thoughts" or something? This thread should be about players UC is recruiting and players considering UC. Seems like 90% of posts in this thread these days have nothing to do with that.

Kansas has one scholarship available and they are going after Dwight Coleby and Paschal chukwu, both have visits set there.

I just want any big guy at this point. Just someone to spend a year in the program, and to practice with Ellis and DeBerry for a year. Juco, HS, redshirt HS, transfer, I don't care.

Probably as likely as Colon hitting another double this season. Washington (if it is true that he is scheduling a visit here at some point) is his last hope.
Eh..I really don't want to see a guy like Biggie, Gaines, Strickland, etc get a scholarship. I would rather just carry over and use on guys who could potentially earn playing time.

Biggie was a top 60 recruit and the #8 rated center In his class. I wish we had a few guys with that profile looking at us. To compare Izundu was barely in the top 150.

I don't think any of the guys at Scout, Rivals or ESPN saw him play live. Jerry Meyer did and had him as a 4 star guy. Reason A on why you can't fully trust the recruiting services. They very rarely stray from the shoe events and elite camps, so if you aren't playing there it isn't a lock you will be evaluated by the national guys...
