I haven't followed football recruiting very much over the years. So I don't really know the ins and outs. But I noticed that schools seem to have no issue offering a player who is already verbally committed somewhere else. We just offered a Penn St commit recently, and USF offered one of our commits. Is it just an absolute free-for-all in college football? I assume no one looks badly on the coaches who do this?
 
he University of Cincinnati football program received an oral commitment this past weekend from prep lineman Sean Bailey (Suwannee, Georgia), according to the 247Sports recruiting watch.

Bailey is listed as 6-6 1/2 and 322 pounds and is given a three-star composite rating by 247Sports.

Outside linebacker/safety Ty Sponseller of Mason High School committed to the Bearcats, and Mason coach Brian Castner was among those tweeting the news.

Sponseller is 6-foot-2 and 193 pounds, according to Castner. Sponseller had previous offers from Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan and Ohio University,
