We need to play Iowa next year. I know they were down this year, but didn't someone say they bring everyone back but Jok? It's a numbers game. They were Top 25 in KenPom in 2014-15 and 15-16. They were Top 50 RPI those years too. Go Hawkeyes next year in 30 of their 31 games!

Yes, I think they are young besides Jok. I remember watching a game last year and they were draining 3s and one dude was a freshman and the announcer was in love. We play them and Xavier. We need 2 more and we will be alright with the AAC being a little better.

All that conversation from LT last year was a waste of time. It made no difference if we are playing Sanford or Miami OH. Maybe more fans would have came but overall our attendance was good all year. It all comes down to the top 50 wins and we didn't win enough this year. Need to take full advantage next year. But then again lets just keep getting in the tournament anything can happen, look at Xavier. All that matters is about matchups. I'll give them credit on last night.. Good win, but no chance they were getting through UCLA and UK like we would have had to.

It'd be nice if Temple gets to where UCF was this year, and UCF takes a jump. I don't think it's bold at all honestly to call them a Tournament team. That should be expected if Tacko Fall stays.

If tacko stays, we will have a hard time beating them in their gym again.

Aubrey Dawkins replaces Matt Williams as an even better shooter and bj Taylor is one of the best point guards in our conference now.

Don't know about the path...X beat Arizona, who was better than UCLA (AZ won pac 12 and took 2 out of 3 from UCLA) & UCLA was good enough to beat Kentucky on their home floor Hard to tell with comparative scores & different matchups, but I'd be hard pressed to say our road was tougher. I had X winning one then done so what do I know.:)

I look at it this way. Maryland should not have been a 6. No way no how. Probably an 8 seed at best. So, as an 11, that is a very favorable matchup for X. Florida State was the most overrated team all year long IMO. I was hoping for a UC-FSU matchup in round 2. Wouldn't have been a contest. Which 3 seed would you rather play to go to a sweet 16? FSU who is probably a 5 seed when you factor in Leonard Hamilton is their coach or UCLA who, had they beaten Arizona in the Pac-12 Tourney could have ended up a 1 or 2 seed? Shoot, they were #1 in the country for a part of the year. The argument is not between playing Arizona or UCLA, it's between would you rather play a top 5 team in UCLA in round 2 or a marginal top 25 team in Florida State in round two?

From my view here is how the league is looking.

Trending up
UConn
UCF
Temple
Tulsa
Tulane

Trending down
Houston
Memphis
USF (can't get much lower but I think they'll be even worse next year)

Staying right around where they're at
UC
SMU (Semi is a big variable here)
East Carolina

Exactly, yes Xs win over Arizona was impressive. But I guarantee if we play Maryland and FSU we make the sweet 16 as well.

Until we can consistently play against a Zone, and make outside shots, I am hard-pressed to believe that we would easily beat any two solid teams in a row in the tournament. It is obviously possible. But not a guarantee.

Did you watch the games in the tourney this year? Offense wasn't the problem. Yes, we missed some shots in the second half against UCLA but the reason we lost was that they got the rebounds and scored in about 0.3 seconds. We got any shot we wanted on offense. We just didn't make them against UCLA in the second half like we did the first half and against Kansas State. I guarantee we would have played Arizona in the sweet 16 with that draw.
