20-25 would be ridiculous imo.
Would be a little low but it wouldn't shock me. I'm more worried about our schedule.

2 games with Wichita State would go a LONG way in helping that.

I don't think we will get a ton of respect until we prove we can beat good teams consistently or make a run. Which is fair I think
This could be just what we need to make a push for one of those top 4 seeds that seem to go to more of the power conferences.
I am concerned with what is going on at Uconn right now. I hope they are a top 25 team next year but something is up over there.
We need 3 teams in the top 25 and another 1-2 within top 50.
UC
Wichita
SMU
Uconn
UCF
Lol...there's no way they're ranked. Like this past year, I think they'll struggle to stay top 100.
If Wichita were to join, UC and WSU would be ranked probably all year.
Hoping SMU recovers from Ojeleye among others possibly leaving.
UCF will be better, but will it be good enough? I see them being fringe-top 50.
Will Houston be any good? Dotson graduating hurts, but Gray has another year and is certainly legit.
Would like to think Temple and Memphis can bounce back, but not getting my hopes up too high.
I don't expect any of the 5 I haven't mentioned to be top 100 at any point. Which is pretty sad that you can nearly guarantee that over half a year in advance.
It's pretty important for UC that Wichita St. joins ASAP. We all see the potential in next year's team, and I already think we're going to struggle to be taken seriously come Selection Sunday. Gotta take any help we can get.
Interesting to hear Cronin's comments on Jenifer and Broome. Obviously we will have to change a little bit on how our half court sets work with either of them in the game. However, he did mention we will probably press a little more next year due to the quickness we gain at PG and that it wasn't Troy's "thing" because of his foot speed.
I don't think either PG will require any prodding to get the ball up the court and with the addition of more pressing it could be a lot of fun to watch. I don't think I am ready to say "fast paced" with Cronin at the helm but a faster pace is certainly in order. With the new additions and scoring options on offense and a faster pace we could easily see 80 PPG on the year and more fan favorite high flying dunks.
We have all the ingredients in the starting 5 to score the ball. Obviously many of us question what our chemistry will look like, defense, and turnovers...but I am optimistic Cronin will get them on the right page.
You keep bringing up chemistry. I don't really get that concern. We lose only 2 players from last year's team and Broome spent the whole year with the team. Williams and T Moore are the only ones unfamiliar with what we're doing, and they aren't slam dunks to be in the rotation (Williams might be but he's going to come off the bench and sounds like Nsoseme might redshirt).
I'm also not sure who is questioning our defense? Why would anyone question a Coach Cronin defense? We might give up more PPG but we should still be very efficient PPP-wise.

If our defense is top 40, which it will be, that's good enough. In the tournament, you gotta be able to score and go toe to toe with the UK and UCLAs of the world. We haven't been able to do that. No matter how good your defense is, you can't lock the really good teams down
Agreed. I don't get this whole chemistry thing. Cane has fit in from day one, loves the city and is real close with the team. He's always with them. I get that people aren't jumping on the bandwagon until they seem him play in real games, but trust me, we are in a very good situation.
