2018 class can offer a point guard that could really be a starter for 3 years, and a pf or center that could start right away or get major minutes. I agree, 2018 should be a really good class and in my opinion no projects. New arena and great program with consistent tournament appearences. Get after it Mick!

@JKimElevate
#Cincinnati asst coach Antwon Jackson was in today for 2018 guard Brendan Adams of Team Melo.

Is this Caupain's cousin? He's Crystal balled to UC.

Also, it seems like Coach Jackson's stock is trending ^. I know Cronin loves his gameplanning and it seems like he's been recruiting more notable players the past few years. Is he our guy for the DMV area?

It is Caupain's cousin. I think he is quicker than Troy and definitely plays with some swag. Big time get if we could land him.

Just to slightly piggy back off of that, Savino tweeted this the other day....

"Frank Martin was an assistant coach not that long ago. Assistants can become good head coaches. All they need is a chance."

I feel like Savino, Jackson or Davis has to get a shot at a HC job soon.

With Clark gone after this season I'm not sure tre as a junior will be starting material. Unless mick wants a four guard lineup I have to think a big time 4 recruit or transfer would be a main target. Been moderating transfers that play the four closely and there's a 6-8 200 pound freshman (Isaiaha Mike) from Duquesne transferring that average 11 and 6 last year. A year with rehfeldt where he could fill out and this guy could be player. He's more of a stretch 4 type. Interested to see if mick goes for him, I feel like he's a name to keep an eye on

He's Savino's most recent follow on Twitter, so there's that.

Sounds interesting. I really love these transfers. I'd take a guy like this in a heartbeat.

Jake I really think you'll see us involved in a lot of transfers going forward. Really believe this is how we will close the gap in recruiting. Replacing Washington or Clark with a transfer big who can practice with the team and be ready after sitting a year is not a bad strategy. It worked with Washington and I think we will be happy with Broone.

True, but Lawrence was a epic failure. Its def possible for us to get 5 stars but it's evident it's not something that happens often. I like the last few recruiting seasons. Evans and williams have next level potential but they aren't trying to leave as soon as they get on campus a la Stephenson

Lawrence sucked so bad in HS. He was reduced to outside shots and when he went inside the game I saw, he was stuffed by kids several inches shorter. He lacked heart. Perhaps that is why he came. MC took a chance that his head would be right after his injury. It just didn't pan out.

I agree with transfers. I think kids learn a lot after their first year of college. I think it comes down to the kids realizing they just want to play for a winning program, have fun, be around a good staff, and see their name announced on selection Sunday. That's what Cincinnati has to offer.

Tyree Martin..The latest basketball player followed on Twitter by Darren Savino.

I know this is extremely creepy.

Looks like a 6'4" SG.
