And I wonder if he was told he would start right away, and then Brannen tried to make up for that by starting him in the middle of the season even we he was playing less than 10 minutes. Whatever it is, hopefully it's specific to Saunders. Shouldn't take long to find out.

and if that is a reason you can't trust a guy, that is some weeeeeeaaaaak sauce.

As I've said, Mikey made a posted a tweet way back when Harvey opted out that looking back almost certainly indicated that Mikey was also planning to leave. This isn't something recent, this is a long-burning dislike of Brannen by many (probably most) of the players.

I don't think it is specific to Saunders. Wasn't Tari his roommate? It might be specific to his dorm room.

Look on the other forums, we will be lucky if it is specific to his dorm room. The people who seem to be in the know and connected are saying that we should still expect multiple more players to transfer out.

If it's a dispute over a promised role, that goes all the way back to the beginning of the season. I don't know anything about the situation, but that's one possibility.

Why? This was the complaint of the Cincy Slangin podcast that got everyone worked up.

Brannen says one thing in recruiting and does something else when coaching. He promises guys things and then breaks those promises. He acts one way during recruiting and his personality is completely different in the locker room. Essentially that you can't trust him, because he lies during recruiting.

If that's all true, I don't blame guys for leaving. Brannen is also going to have a hell of a time recruiting with all the rumors circulating around him.

This is very different than a Gregg Marshall style revolt. It's centered on a few guys who weren't playing as much as they wanted, not the entire group.

I seriously doubt it about playing time or starting. I refuse to believe players are transferring because you recruit other guys in their position or don’t let them start. This isn’t 3rd grade. Beat the guy out.

How many players have to be left before it becomes a Greg Marshall style revolt? After the Marshall revolt, WSU had 5 scholarship players remaining.

If it stops with Saunders, it's probably not there. But there are plenty of connected people indicating that it's not going to stop with Saunders. My guess is we are going to see at least Eason and one/two other guys transfer before it's all over. That would put us at 4/5 scholarship players remaining.

If this is about playing time, I’m back on brannen side. This is college bball, you aren’t guaranteed a spot. Get out of my face with that

If this is ab playing time... Get these clowns out. This is high level d1 hoops.

I’ve heard CJB trashed Harvey after he opted out and it pissed guys off, including Mikey who is now transferring. No way to know if true though.

Yea i dunno. I don’t have more details than that. Just what someone told me this morning (which he turned out to be right about Mikey transferring). He also said Tari is heavily considering it too. I hate all of this.

Some rumors flying around indicate this is all about Zach Harvey and the way his departure was handled by the staff and words that were said behind closed doors.

And then Brannens wife liked a tweet that read "Quit on the team when he lost playing time to Saunders, Mason and Davenport, and was behind MAW and DeJulius on the depth chart. Instead of working harder like Mason, Harvey walked out." on harveys twitter portal announcement.

this seems to be the smoke.

Even this is soft. There has to be more. Like I said, maybe I’m old school, I’m not that old, but everything I’ve seen doesn’t feel like much at all

A coach can promise a guy plenty of things besides playing time. He can act like a nice guy, than be an ******* in the locker room. He can tell them they will be playing a certain role and than not put them in that role.

But being recruited over is a valid reason to leave a team. I doubt that is the case, because all indications are that Saunders was going to be playing lots of minutes next year. Eason is expected to be a starter next year, if he leaves it's not about playing time.

But none of that points to abuse. That's a pretty serious charge to be spreading.

It might be soft. But Easons mom WENT OFF on twitter about it when Harvey opted out. You don't think she was in Eason and Saunders' ear non stop after that?

She's a fire starter man.
