UC spending all this money on buying up half city property but can put together 75k NIL deals get couple players sell out new arena? One thing I didn't like about our conference was we went against other major metro area for recruits. Philly, Memphis, Houston, Orlando, Tampa. Now we going against back road teams, we have take advantage of being in BIG 12 in metro area. That should always be our #1 sale pitch outside of playing in final fours.

We might strike out, but I think it's too soon to say right now. Ezikpe is still an option, as are Tchikou, Gaines, and Terry Roberts.

We're apparently in touch with Marcus Hammond from Niagara, a 6'3" guard who can score, takes care of the ball, and limits fouls.

I was under the impression we didn't make the top 10 for Roberts. Something change?

Kendric Davis (SMU) and Darin Green (UCF) both have entered the portal within the past 24 hours.

All of a sudden, we have one of the more attractive roster situations in the AAC.

Good point! We have lost a couple of role players but haven't lost our best. If we can just improve a little bit we should be in good shape.

He looks like a 3 and D type who would be a better version of MAW. Very low turnover and foul rates, and low usage on offense. Has attempted more threes than twos in his career, but shoots it well at 37%. No dunk attempts, bad rebounder, and doesn't get to the free throw line.

I'd put him more as a better version of Mason Madsen. Guy who's out there to (be a threat to) shoot threes. Low assist rate, low TO, low usage. Bad defender, bad rebounder.

He's more of another version of MAW He put up similar (but slightly worse) numbers at IU, against better competition.

He would not be Earth shattering by any means but one could hope a slight improvement in a weaker conference. Worst case he can defend better than Mikey.

If we get him we gotta get a scorer on the wing like McNeil.

Also Gaines to UAB if you are talking LSU Gaines

Yep, just in the last few hours. That's the first example of a target going to a clear lower level program I think.

Some non portal options for '23 narrowing down. Top 2 for Trey Green (VA Tech), top 5 for Rayvon, and top 10 for Collier I think...

We didn't do much reaching out. We all in on Collier. Funny Gaines and Collier worked out together this weekend. Eric was hands down better player.

Per Rothstein we are in the final two for Rob Phinisee along with Butler.
I don't understand this. Over 4 years he is under 30% from three and under 40% from two, and he doesn't get to the free throw line. He's not a great distributor or rebounder. Maybe he's an absolute shut down defender, but those are rare at 6'1".

He played under Mike Roberts for 2 years and opens up the PG position for Isaiah Collier to take over in 2023.

Right there with you! Even a fall back plan would sound better to me without knowing who it would be
