AAC Conference Play

We didn't lose we won't have the same have to win mentality that the other team will nobody wants to get beat twice by someone, they will have extra fire in them to beat us, you hear all the time coaches say in conference play it so hard to beat someone twice because you know each other so much and see him all the time. If you heard Coach Ollie post game he was mad that he let us do what he knew we were going to do next time we play them I guarantee you it will be a lot harder fought game, lower score, plus with brimah back that adds even more of a reason to count that as a loss.
I'm sure he was mad. He feels like they should have won. I really don't buy into the whole I'm mad now because we lost last time. He or Cronin aren't going to recreate their teams to play again in a couple of weeks. Having Brimah back will certainly change how they play inside but if we play up to our capabilities we should win at home. The rest is coach speak for the fans.

We can't afford not to have that mentality.

I don't get why everyone thinks Brimah is so good. Yes he is a great blocker but he scores less than 8 points and gets less than 5 rebounds per game on .1 assists.

What exactly is he good at besides protecting the rim?

I've seen enough basketball in the last 28 years to know better than that. Having Brimah back might make the Huskies lazier on D, or change strategies in a way that will be advantageous for the Bearcats. It could change the game in a 100 different subtle ways and still not change the outcome.

Brimah is not Kenyon Martin.

Justin Jackson averaged the same amount of blocks per game, scored more points, got more rebounds, could run the floor, and could defend multiple positions.

Brimah is no Justin Jackson either

Brimah was the conference's DPOY last year. UConn is already #4 in adjusted defensive efficiency. He's going to make them better at protecting the rim. Offensively he isn't post threat but you know he is good for one or two lob dunks from Hamilton.

Is there a better lob passer for dunks in college bb than Hamilton? I don't think so.

Don't think so. He's incredibly talented at everything but shooting. Reminds me some of Kyle Anderson who played at UCLA and now for the Spurs. Hamilton has a chance to have an NBA career if he gets picked by the correct team.

We didn't actually score inside with ease when we played UConn with no Brihma so not really sure there is much concern with him returning. And it's not like our players have never played against him. We saw him quite a bit last year. Nothing we can't handle...

Big win for Houston. We still can win this league. Cats need to focus up big time. These final 9 games won't be easy.

If Houston didn't shoot 12-21 from FT's, they win easily.

We do not control our own destiny. However this greatly increases our odds of winning the regular season title.

Why not? We don't control our own destiny to win the conference outright, but if we win out we're guaranteed to be co-champions at worst aren't we?
