Got give it up to UCONN. What a great run of guards. Walker,Napier and Boatwright.

Kid is just great. His confidence is off the chart. Should be a great game against SMU.

Gotta love how Tulsa tried to drive to the basket in the final few possessions and the refs swallowed their whistle, again.

Honestly, I don't think Boatwright/UConn deserves much if any credit. They have all the odds in their favor, including the refs, AAC officials, and ESPN supporting them.
Besides him making the final shot against us, he had help.

you may be blinded a tad by your love for the Cats. Kid still has to make shots. If you noticed he even came out with the last two boards.

ask yourself this question. Would you want him on your team. If your honest then the answer is simple. Hell yes!!!!

You can't honestly say UConn didn't commit any fouls on those last few possessions Tulsa had? Just complete bs.
when it comes to sports I am not a conspiracy theriost I believe you generally get what you earn. Tulsa didn't finish the game. They got to the line. They had 2 critical TO's late.

Sure I would but they doesn't change the fact that the refs blatantly swallow their whistles and have been favoring UConn down the stretch. Tulsa got fouled on their final few possessions and got nothing.

I'm not either but this just seems fixed. ESPN and AAC officials are having a permanent hard on bc UConn is their media darling. You can't say UConn hasn't had very favorable calls.

Jeff Goodman couldn't be more spot on:

UConn gets a chance to go to NCAA tourney after a mediocre regular-season with a win tomorrow against SMU on its home court.

They will have played their way in 4 wins in 4 days with three coming against SMU, Tulsa and Cincy. If they beat SMU they will have earned the bid.

Well by the definition of the rules they have earned it but lets not act like what they are doing is something miraculous. They have home court advantage in all these games. It's not like this is some arena close to their city. They actually play regular season games on that court and the 95% of the crowd is UCONN because nobody traveled to Hartford in March. If the rule wasnt in place they still would not be in the tourney after beating all of us. They were that bad in the regular season. They could not have been more lucky that this awful conference put the game in their arena and have the refs feeding off their crowds.

Kevin Ollie on playing #SMU: "Thank god we are playing here (at the XL Center)"...need anymore proof?? #EasyRoad #AACTournament #Uconn .

Even Chad is getting on the action: @American_MBB Ticket sales should be great. Mission accomplished. Congrats.

Another good one: @American_MBB so will uconn hold senior day festivities tomorrow?

Twitter is blowing up at the AAC, some really entertaining comments being made.

My favorite part of all this is the Coachspeak. Ollie actually said in the presser last night that UConn "took the game" and everything they did in the 2nd half was due to offensive execution. Call me crazy, but if the game plan was to chuck up 30 footers and pray, then yes, they executed their game plan to perfection. Why, I'll bet every coach in the country has that "bank in multiple 3 pointers" chapter in their playbook.

I get that no coach is ever going to admit that they got lucky, but c'mon man. Reminds me of 15 years ago when Lorenzo Romar and Bill Self both congratulated themselves on beating a Kenyon-less UC team and swore to anyone that would listen that losing the national player of the year had no bearing on the outcome of those games. Sure.

What do you mean fixed? It works just fine, gets the money put in the hands of the people that lobby for it every time without fail. Works just fine

Love all those tweets. Take it to them slacktivists!

The refs missed a blatant travel when Hamilton of Connecticut took 4-5 steps before passing to Boatright for a three. They then turn around and call a phantom travel and then a charge that should have been a no-call or a block, both against Tulsa. The there was the no call when Harrison got his head taken off with 13 seconds left. When the same thing happens two straight nights it's no fluke. The AAC and ESPN got what they wanted, but it was so obvious they should be ashamed. Welcome to the AAC Tulsa, this is how it is.
