AAC Conference Tournament Thread

As I sit and watch the Houston/Tulane game and look at the second dismal crowd I begin to wonder. I think having this tournament in Hartford is completely dumb. Its probably the worst location geographically for fans to attend. Least at Memphis is was semi centrally located. Do you think fans from Florida, Ohio, Louisana, Tennessee, and Texas want to travel to Hartford, CT? No.
I know its the first rounds but there was literally under 1000 people for these first two games. How does the AAC benefit from having this event in Hartford?

The crowds in Memphis were not much better for the early rounds last year.

Good point, I know ECU, USF, UCF, Tulane and Houston's fan base sucks but still. Just doesn't seem like a fan friendly location.

Ideally those games could be played in a smaller facility or something. For the tournament in Orlando, maybe the opening round games should be played on UCF's court and then move over to the Orlando Magic arena for the quarters, semis and final.

Is the tourney being played at the Magic's arena next year?

It would be nice if USF could at least wear down UConn for us and not let their starters rest. Doesn't look like they will be capable of that.

The atmospher is dead there tonight. The XL center should be rocking tmrw night. I feel like UC and UConn have developed a nice little rivalry. Gotta love playing a straight road game for conference tourney. They just showed UC watching the game. We will be ready for em.

Today is the day! I'm heading to Vegas to rep our Cats for the conference tourney! Anyone got any good betting advice for our tourney or any of the others around the country?

Iowa St. they have made me a lot of money this year, damn that team can score the ball. I've also been betting against L'ville alot this season with some nice success.

Have a safe trip, to say I'm jealous is quite an understatement.

Hope you took my advice, I had a very nice day with Ville going down, Nova smashing Marquette, Houston winning and Iowa St. giving me a buzzer beater push saving my 50$:)

Taking Houston at +1 was a steal, they scared me at the end but they've played well to end the season. I said before the tournament that I thought they could give Tulsa a scare.

Yep, I'll be keeping a very close eye on that line, Im interested to see what Memphis-Temple will end up at as well.

Also, you go right ahead UCONN and blow your load on threes tonight (9-14, Hamilton 4-5, Purvais 3-4) I'll look forward to the 3-19 effort tomorrow :)

I did take your advice. Thank you. I have ND, Okla St, Colorado, Xavier and South Carolina tonight. Let me know what you guys think about the games tomorrow

Game Day Baby!! I only wish we didn't have to wait so long to get there. The Bearcats are averaging 68.4 points per game during the past five games and allowing only 54.4 per game. Let's keep rolling!!

Looks like they are giving Houston 9 points. I could see them giving Tulsa some issues. They are also giving Memphis 3.5. I think Memphis could beat Temple. Just depends if they want to play defense lol.

I like both of those too. I might take Memphis straight up.
