AAC Conference Tournament

Sorry, I couldn't find any reference to that scenario in the AAC Policy. But I'll bet there will be some amendments added for the future. How does the AAC have a policy for something they could never have dreamed up - even in their worst nightmare?

I read it in the news article talking about the cancelation of the conference tourney. They said we won the AQ by being the #1 seed. Quirk of fate, but there it is. I won't argue that they didn't deserve it!

On bracket matrix we had 108 brackets...UCLA was first out with 68.

I’ll take the conference championship, the auto or the at large. Just squeaked by in each scenario.

What a nerve racking year though...wow!! Glad the seniors went out with a win, a championship, and each did something in the final game to feel good about.

I think I went with 7 losses in the beginning. We ended with 5 and that could have been better by at least a couple. But knowing that Houston and Memphis being the early favorites did not end up with the AQ from our conference is a big deal IMO.

Probably a good thing Tulsa and Uconn got off to poor starts. WSU was also a bubble team and in on bracket matrix. Those are 6 teams that were tourney quality at one point in the season or another.

Winning this conference is not an easy thing to do. I think we did see some player development as well. Bravo to the team and the coach with all the nagging injuries and new system to learn...late recruiting etc. I am definitely satisfied with year 1 from our coach. I hope we get a nice start to 2021 recruiting and end 2020 with a couple of solid transfers and maybe a late bloomer HS kid.
