Have not heard anyone credible say this. Hope it's true but the Ralph has been wrong on everything realignment related thus far
Here are just some of Ralphs classics:
"Texas am isn't leaving big 12"
"Missouri isn't leaving the big 12"
"Louisville will never leave the Big East. No one wants them"
"No team will leave the acc because of the 50mil buyout"
"West Virginia isn't going anywhere especially the Big 12"
"Cincinnati cannot afford to leave the conference"
I think the ACC would be a good fit for us competition wise. It would allow us a chance to be competitve in football which I don't think the Big 12 would. Look at WVU right now. In basketball I think we can compete in any league with Mick as our coach. Plus it gives us fans so nice places to travel during the year. I like keeping our rivaly with Louisville alive as well.
Twitter world is blowing up with a comment made by Mick on his post game radio show last night. In responding to a question from Chuck, Mick replied "we are in the Big East" to which Chuck added "until Monday".
This stuff is not run of the mill garbage rumors. Recruits and players have been asked what do you think about the ACC? One rumor has FB practice being pushed back for the A presser tomorrow. I frankly can't confirm with any players but that doesn't mean it's not true. Recruits are tweeting about "it". I hope and think that tomorrow will be a good day for UC.
This really would be fantastic. Losing Maryland from that conference means squat. You want to keep Duke and NC for basketball. Having UC, UL and UConn would be huge for basketball.
I'm a little confused with all of the musical chairs. If UC, UL and UConn are added who is in the ACC? Pitt and Syracuse right?
I think uc will be in the acc but uconn and ul(if the big12 gets cold feet) will be invited first
Also don't be surprised if usf or Ucf are invited. Huge institutions in crucial big markets in Florida ripe with ratings and recruiting. They will be sought after
