Indiana State beating Tulsa 43-34 in the 2nd half. Let's all keep in mind that Tulsa is coached by Frank Haith...he's the Tuberville of college hoops. If he can't win with Manning's recruits, there's no hope for him after this year.

They were also getting blown out by Ohio before they came back and won. I agree with the Tuberville comparison, but they have something like 9 seniors of which 3 or 4 really good senior guards. They'll be in the bubble conversation. Really it depends on how they do in conference....with a win over Wichita State already, a neutral loss to ISU won't really hurt too much.

It's amazing Pastner still has a job, but even more amazing what Memphis pays him.

Speaking of which, this man says hello...

lol, you never miss a chance do you?

Not a real good person to compare to though, one is a proven winner the other not so much. Sure you're smart enough to figure out who is who.

You guys(the fire tubs crowd) reminds me of the fire Cronin crowd in his early years. Blame the coach for everything, even things out of his control. It's kinda cute actually.

Tuberville: 154-90, 63.1% winning percentage. 12 bowl appearances in 19 seasons (63% success).

Pastner: 148-58, 71.8% winning percentage. 4 NCAA appearances in 6 seasons (66.7% success).

Come on now, you can't compare TT to Cronin. Cronin was and still is hungry to succeed at UC. He is setting our bar very high. TT is about 20 feet below the bar set by our predecessors and not even close to reaching it. After 3 years and repeated excuses and lack of desire to win and elevate UC football, its time for him to go.

I think NTS was part of the fire Cronin crowd.

And not that I'm a huge TT fan, especially after the USF game, but comparing a basketball coaches stats to a football coaches just shows he has no idea what he is talking about.

1st and 2nd round exits from the NCAA is not setting any bar very high. Those are the stats, and therefore the facts. He may want to set a high bar in the future, and might be working toward that this year, but to this point the bar is actually fairly low.
