I think NTS was part of the fire Cronin crowd.

And not that I'm a huge TT fan, especially after the USF game, but comparing a basketball coaches stats to a football coaches just shows he has no idea what he is talking about.

No, not really. I believed heading into the 2010-11 season that Mick was definitely on the hot seat. What I sort of neglected to consider at the time was that Mick was young and early in his coaching career and like players, would improve over the years. I throw out his first two years, but in his third and fourth season I think even he would admit his teams underachieved those two years. The 2008-09 team probably should have made the NIT and the 2009-10 team with Stephenson, Vaughn, Gates, Wright, Parker, Dixon etc should have made the NCAA's but had terrible chemistry issues. I do think Mick grew tremendously.

So no, I never was this hard into wanting him gone but heading into the 2010-11 season he was widely known to be on the hot seat.

2009-2010 without a doubt should have made the NCAA. That was poor coaching on Mick's part, I don't buy the chemistry issue. Either way he was never truly on the hot seat by those who mattered most, i.e., UC administration.

I watched Larry Davis (player) and Lance Stephenson nearly fight in the pre game warmups. Then you had Rashad Bishop being suspended for the Big East tournament and NIT. There were definitely issues there. The team had too much talent to be that poorly run.

The Bearcats are good this year and have a chance to be REALLY good. So, let's complain about what could have or should have happened 5 years ago. Sounds fun. 🙄 That's sarcasm in case anyone was unsure.

Like I said, they're grasping at everything.

I remember that game like it was yesterday I was sitting under the basket by the locker rooms. They were jawing through the entire layup line then were taken to the locker room by an assistant coach. Fortunately I could see them begin to trade punches as the door swung open and closed a couple of times. From what I could see Larry started it and Lance finished it. Believe the game was against weber state. Anyway TT should be fired plain and simple.

When is UC up for the Battle of Atlantis? That has turned into a premier tournament. I think I read Xavier is heading back next year. They were just there too.

We'll be at the Hall of Fame Tipoff next year at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut with Penn State, Rhode Island and Duke. Then the following year we'll be in the Grand Cayman Islands for a new event with UAB, Wyoming, Iowa and 4 TBD schools. So the earliest opening we'll have is for the 2018-19 season. Hope we get Maui, Battle 4 Atlantis or the tournament in Orlando.

Yep, I can't believe Tubbs was throwing all those picks and coughing up the ball in the first half like that. :roll eyes:

You do realize a bad half doesn't make a career, right?

Also to understand the game of football you have to realize some of Kiels mistakes are because he trying to force things because he can't trust his defense. Any QB in the country forced to do the things Gunner is forced to do in the circumstances he is forced to do them would make some of the same mistakes. Now I would agree Gunner needs to learn progressions better and stop staring down his primary option but cmon. To conpletely blame Gunner for the losses and 51-3 deficit and completely absolve TT of any blame is down right ridiculous.

So does UConn. Good game going into the final minutes.

Not really, they have a better team and are just chucking three's like they did to us in the AAC tournament last year. Purvis has gotten hot to keep them close, but they haven't been impressive to me.
