Around the AAC

Houston put up 65 second half points in their win at Rice. SMU won at Evansville last night, which could turn out to be a big win. Wichita St beat Gardner-Webb to move to 4-0.

Akok akok on uconn is really good, then Gilbert is pretty good, then vital is feast or famen, and the rest of their team sucks, Hurley is halarious to watch literally argues the calls so much he actually convinced the refs to change a call

Not sure if anyone is watching this Memphis game. It’s amazing that how rough freshman can be fundamentally. I just watched Achiuwa air ball back to back free throws out of pure lack of focus/laziness.

It was a good week overall for the conference. UConn, Memphis, Temple, and Tulane all picked up wins over P6 teams. UConn, Tulane, UCF and SMU won games against mid-majors. Looks like East Carolina will be the only truly awful team this year. They had the only bad loss against UMKC.

Not a great week for the AAC. Early in the week the schedule was basically all cupcakes, and only ECU slipped up at home against Coppin St. ECU is absolutely awful, and they will bring down the metrics of everyone in the conference. South Florida had a nice win over #65 Furman.

Saturday was a bad day. SMU, Temple, and Tulsa all lost at home to average or bad teams. Three important games today, as Houston, Wichita St, and Tulane are playing Kenpom top 110 teams.

Well Sunday was a good day. Houston won at South Carolina and Wichita St won big at Oklahoma St. Tulane lost to Saint Louis.

This conference is wide open. Memphis still with the most talent but they will lose some games in league. If we can get some momentum we can take it.

Houston picked up a big win over #21 Washington in the Diamond Head Classic championship. They could possibly be a top 30 NET team, which would mean two Q1 games for us.

Washington is a heck of a team. I was at the Washington Baylor game earlier this year

I feel bad for Uconn, they have been falling for years, but it’s just sad watching what they have become

Hard to feel bad for a team/fanbase that thinks they're better than what they are as of recently. Hopefully leaving a conference that they've been getting beat up in will make them better.

How is dejon jarreau still coming off the bench, if that is the case then Houston scares me more than I thought

I’ve seen all I need to see Caleb Mills is the best player in the aac, Houston’s gonna be good for a long time with him at the helm, sucks we almost had him

He really struggled when he started earlier this year:

But mills is the real deal.

He can take over a game. His defense is priobsbly Sampson’s biggest issue with him

The conference is much improved.

Unfortunately it didn’t show that improvement in the non conference.

This may end up being a 2-3 bid league.

Houston and Memphis aren’t even close to locks. Temple is pretty much done, SMU played a weak schedule and then lost to ECU.
