Yeah they're at 15 right now I think. Maybe if they added a school to do an East and West division like the SEC did

I totally agree the ACC is a better "fit" for UC, but don't see much opportunity there, unfortunately they may be stuck in the position you take what you can get if offered to any power 5 conference.

Just remember, if UC does get in the Big 12 NTS has openly said he will disappear from this board. That alone gives all stupid Bearcat fans hope and to push for this conference move.

Yeah, I still don't understand why he thinks we should believe him over the actual insiders who seem to think we at least have a shot to move to the Big 12. There have been multiple stories on it and it looks like we will have a good chance if the petition to the NCAA by the Big 12 gets turned down. Like I said before, I think it would be between us and Memphis if they only choose one school from our part of the country.

And I think 15th is ND. Basketball only. How in the world can Boise ST be considered over UC for the big 12. It would make no sense to leave West Virgina all alone in the east. BYU could make the difference to which direction they go. It seems they have been their number one choice when they took TCU

You win. UC is screwed and destined stuck in a mediocre conference for the forseeable future. Everyone should quit caring about trying to get into a better conference. We all live in a chicken little world, a chicken little world. Nothing will ever get better.

Is that what you want to hear...?

I don't need to hear something that I already know to be true....just thinking logically not following this baseless, mindless group thought of most UC fans...

There are rumors swirling about the Big 12 expanding nationwide. It's not out of the question that UC is one of the schools they would consider. I don't understand why you are so convinced that this could never happen.

Michael DeCourcy @tsnmike: Cincinnati is not really an Ohio State town, but betting lots of people there quietly celebrating today's selections. #Big12

Paul Daughtery @EnquirerDoc: TCU, Baylor missing playoff big boost to UC's Big 12 aspirations.

Joe Schad @schadjoe: Bob Bowlsby: In this era of deregulation we should be allowed to have conference title game w 10 teams.

Look at this last tweet especially. Looks like they will attempt to petition the NCAA first. If that fails, we have a good chance, even you cannot deny that. They would have no other option but to expand.

It won't be reported to be expanding right up until it is reported they are expanding.

Do you really think that anybody would share inside information with a hack like McMurphy if there is anything going on? If expansion is being discussed you can be sure anybody who really knows would be very tight lipped. Right now nobody on the outside knows anything for sure.

McMurphy is the go-to for realignment. He has broken the news about EVERY story over the past 3 years.

Yeah, no doubt you are right in the sense that they will attempt to petition so that they have 10 teams and a conference championship. That is what makes the most sense and that is why they are currently denying going after other schools to join the conference. If that petition fails, however, they are leaving lots of money on the table and they would have to take a long look at adding 2 more schools, even if the other 10 lose some revenue from it. We are one of the most logical choices and this is the NCAA we are talking about, so there is a very good chance that petition gets denied.

NTS, how do you support UC? What do you do to make it a better university and program? Do you go to the games? Do you donate your money to a specific university fund? Are you an active alum?

Good point JJ.
