Bellarmine again is being picked to be one of the best teams in D-II. I love that this exhibition series has continued because I love the way Bellarmine plays. They are always looking for the extra pass to an open man and I think it will test our defense early on.

Who's all going? What're you expecting from the team? Who do you want to see have a big game?

3 Big things:

- See Kyle not have foul trouble
- JJ showcase he can be a viable PG, with low TO total
- Cumberland to shoot well, to get that Indiana State stat line out of his head

Random Predictions:

Bellarmine 65
UC 85

We get up big early and maintain it. The game becomes open gym in the final 8-10 minutes. Jenifer looks good against this competition. The main guys don't play a ton, if at all in the 2nd half. Washington takes at least 10 shots and is aggressive. Tre Scott shows a couple flashes. Moore hits a few shots. Brooks shows us that he can hold his own with the 2nd unit. Johnson makes a few 3s and everyone overreacts and talks about him breaking out this year.

I'll be there. Can't wait!

I don't expect to learn too much, but I'm very interested to see the new guys (Washington, Scott, Cumberland & Brooks) as well as to see how JJ & Moore have progressed. I'm cautiously optimistic that JJ has transformed his game and can really help us this year.

Go Cats!

I'll be there. Excited to watch. I am looking forward to watching Jenifer and see if he has improved. Also interested in seeing Moore.

As much as I want to see Evans, I hope he sits. With Rhode Island so early this year, we need him fully healthy.

I'll probably be there. $5 for nearly any seat, so might as well.

So if Cumberland played in the Indy St game, I assume he'll play Wednesday. Any idea if Evans will play?

I hope not. I'd rather him rest up until the games count. Plus it will give us a better look at JJ, Cumberland, and possibly Scott.

If Evans can play, I hope he does at least some. We need to be clicking right out of the gate. Cronin rested Ellis last year in these games and he never really got right last season. Obviously not 100% bc of that, but if Evans isn't at risk of further injury, imo he needs to get his out there and get some work in.

Well the coach says he is most improved but I'm guessing it's not a "transformation". I think all of his improvement can come on the mental side of things. Make better choices. Take care of the ball better, stay in better control, choose better shots, and don't foul 3 point shooters. If he does this and improves his D a little that would be a very big improvement over last year....and probably worthy of doubling his minutes.

I would be very happy with this type of change and I don't think you have to change the way he plays the game to "dial it back" a little.

Great stuff. He has matured a ton in his time here. You can just see the confidence when he's answering question after question. Very sure of himself.

-Love hearing him say that Cronin gets on them at practice and asks "How do you expect to win the league making mistakes like that?"

- Not positive but I think that was Chad who asked about Jenifer and Caupain playing together and Caupain moving off the ball. I guess that answers that (I'm still surprised Cronin is ok with that). Good to see that Caupain wasn't bothered in the least by it. He'll do anything for the team.
