-Heck even The Rutgers/St. Joes and and South Florida/BYU matchups should be decent

Busy day in the Big East Friday.

St. John's has what could end up being a damaging loss tonight if they find themselves on the bubble at the end of the year, losing at home to St. Bonaventure.

I don't think SJU is going to be near the bubble this year. I still don't think they are any good. Sure they have seniors but who cares if the seniors aren't any good.

They are a senior laden team. Lavin is notorious for underachieving with talent but did make some sweet 16 runs.

That scoring defense will not be going up against a completely inept offensive team on Saturday, regardless of their record or who they are... averaging 73.0 PPG on the season (while the 'Cats average 70)... I'm hoping UC comes out and looks dominant once again, holding them to 50 or less.

We've seen in flashes thus far how good this team can play defensively... if they can find a way to sustain that against better competition they can play with just about anyone in the country.

Notre Dame- Pretender or Contender in the Big East?

We find out tonight.

Other games of note tonight:

Providence is tested @ Boston College.

Seton Hall takes on Arkansas in the appetizer for that ND/Kentucky Night Cap at Freedom Hall.

A Quick look ahead to the rest of the week:

Only one game on tomorrow- Georgetown @ Temple.

There are no Big East games Friday... but on Saturday, what a great lineup...

Tennessee @ Pitt

Gonzaga @ Notre Dame

UNLV @ Louisville

Auburn @ Rutgers

Alabama @ Providence

Seton Hall @ UMASS

Wisconsin @ Marquette

Seven very intriguing games.

DePaul may be the worst BCS conference team in all the country... and the 'Cats get them twice this year.

Hansboro keep ND in the game in the first half. They are simply too slow and will have problems against teams with quickness and penetrating guards.

yeah they didnt look like a top 25 team. no great low post presence and if you stop their three point shooting you should be able to win

And UC doesn't get to play in any of them. :(

There is some crazy stuff re: our schedule occuring on another site, and it's very, very annoying.

Of course, with 2 games against cuppycakes until Oklahoma, we better get used to it for the next week.

I've been monitoring it but I've resisted getting tangled up in that old dog and pony show... :D

I couldnt' resist. LongTimer sucked me in. His game is so obvious.

Yeah I've been sucked in too. It's really frustrating because I would much rather just talk about Bearcat Basketball.

I also have been told that is not Longtimer by someone that checked on it. I simply do not believe it. It HAS to be him.
