I like our ranking at 16.

I can not figure out why Xavier would be ahead of us. I think they are going to be really good but I don't understand why they would be ahead of UC.

UC was clearly better last year. Better during the season and tournament. Beat them handily at UC.

I have to admit I am excited that we could have a Top 15 or possibly top 10 matchup verse XU.

I am going to be at Xavier during the game for sure.... unfourtanately I will be there are a student and not at the game. UGHHHH. Freakin grad school.

Very excited for this season

Xavier will be very good this season. Have to give Mack his props. I think Holloway is overrated (good not great) and feasts off of a week conference schedule. Marquette used UC's blueprint to guard him in the NCAA. Cut off his driving and keep a body on him and he gets frustrated. Bad thing is he gets to the line in double digit numbers at home. It's going to be a tough game as usual when Cincinnati plays them. I've heard people say they are a sleeper final four team. I don't get that. They lack bulk up front outside of Frease and that could be huge for the Bearcats.

I guess we need to keep in mind that Goodman and Mack are tight.

I don't have any issue with X being ranked but I would like to hear where they improved that much over us from last year.

We lost Bishop and Thomas and add Chiek and a bunch of freshman.

We still have Gates and he will still be the best player on the court when we play them.

Dont get me wrong though. I think Xavier have a top 10 backcourt.

Really good team but I think we have the edge still.

After being throughly dominated at 5/3rd they will be jacked to play UC at home. I like what we have returning and the fact they are experienced playing in the Big East against top competition on the road.

For the crossdown shootout entrainment sake we can only hope. What a beat down that was.

True--but, as ralph has said in the past, its UC's Superbowl. "We beat Xavier, no matter what happens now, the season is a success" When you get a team playing for everything it can be tough to win. As Kcourt said, its good for the rivalry. Xavier has been completely dominating it the past 15 years, before coming into the game X won 10 of the previous 14. When you have Xavier fans debating who the biggest rival is and its between Dayton and Butler, you know UC has been down the drain.
