Not even sure where to start. I think the biggest thing to take away from tonight is how well this team deals with adversity. A very good start to this game (I believe lead 44-27 at one point?), then there were a lot of sketchy calls, then the T that frankly wasn't deserved no matter how you look at it, we get sloppy, then Louisville gets hot, and suddenly we're down 3 with around 5 minutes to go. I'll be completely honest, when Russ Smith hit that 3 from a mile away, I thought UofL was going to pull away. Not because of a lack of faith, but because they had SO much momentum and pretty much everything was going their way. Then UC becomes much more calm, cool, and collective. SK has taken some heat on this board, some rightfully so, but you really can't overrate his leadership skills and how cold-blooded he is under pressure. Even on an off/below average night (shot 7/18, 3/9 threes tonight), he has the ability to simply lead the team, calm them down, and hit some tough FTs down the stretch. He may take some poor shots on occasion, but you've got to let him go. He is a superb talent and a true team captain. You can't say enough about him.
What a win. Shaq played a hell of a game. Jackson played well sans the TOs. Not worried about Troy. So excited to see where this team goes.
