this was one those games we had to win the basketball world tries to ignore our program refs didnt help at times and we won. its a punch in the face saying u cant ignore us now. we been moving up top 25 so slow to point where if we lost they would probably dropped us out. great win for our program next home game will be packed i bet

and anyone who has been watching this team all year knows jackson was not 100% not even close still played big but not like normal not to mention this team is so strong minded its crazy

I told myself before this game that I would join some of the Koolaid fans if we won this game or even came close.

I am sorry I ever doubted. I am drinking Koolaid now. I was wrong in doubting.

We are a top 10 team...and I can't believe I am saying that.

Some of our fans knew it already...but I did not...good job to BCJ and others for predicting what happened tonight

SK had 28 points and 11 of 11 FT's.

What more do we need him to do in big games?

Our next best player had 11 points.

Who in the hell are we going to turn to when SK doesn't score???

You know what is scary (in a good way)? This offense continues to improve. If it continues on this trend, this team could be scary good in March.

Offense is up to #91 in the KenPom. Recall that just a few weeks ago it was in the 140's. Getting Lawrence back will certainly help the offense as well.

he he due back anytime soon? he is a rebounding machine and he can score and run we need him back no doubt. sk played 37 minutes and was asked to do everything hes a machine jackson and rubles are like a fucking heart attack they will beat ya but they will do few things that leave u shaking your head on the way lol

Not even sure where to start. I think the biggest thing to take away from tonight is how well this team deals with adversity. A very good start to this game (I believe lead 44-27 at one point?), then there were a lot of sketchy calls, then the T that frankly wasn't deserved no matter how you look at it, we get sloppy, then Louisville gets hot, and suddenly we're down 3 with around 5 minutes to go. I'll be completely honest, when Russ Smith hit that 3 from a mile away, I thought UofL was going to pull away. Not because of a lack of faith, but because they had SO much momentum and pretty much everything was going their way. Then UC becomes much more calm, cool, and collective. SK has taken some heat on this board, some rightfully so, but you really can't overrate his leadership skills and how cold-blooded he is under pressure. Even on an off/below average night (shot 7/18, 3/9 threes tonight), he has the ability to simply lead the team, calm them down, and hit some tough FTs down the stretch. He may take some poor shots on occasion, but you've got to let him go. He is a superb talent and a true team captain. You can't say enough about him.

What a win. Shaq played a hell of a game. Jackson played well sans the TOs. Not worried about Troy. So excited to see where this team goes.

Cronin said 1-2 weeks away a couple days ago.

We all know how important Sk is and what an amazing job he did last night. It was nuts though..the final 3 minutes or so SK was the only one that was looking to shoot or have the ball. What a crazy amount of pressure he carries on him and he just dominated it.

We should've looked for JJ and Shaq a few times towards the end, but I realize you mainly want it in SK's hands. Shaq has really grow this year, he has had double digits in 3 out of the past 4 games I believe. He is so good at finishing and he does an excellent job picking when to shoot and when to pass it up. He isn't the greatest shooter, but by picking his spots like he does, he is far more effective.

In the first half when SK wasn't scoring, Shaq picked up a lot of slack. There are options.

I understand the logic of our bigs bringing the ball up. Our guards aren't as quick as theirs, and our bigs have decent handles. But it simply hasn't worked. Their bigs aren't stealing it; we're just losing it.

It was a great coaching move.

The players failed to recognize when Hancock was on them instead of a true big near the end of the game.

He is learning he is tough to stop in the mid-range and at the basket. Shaq got tentative toward games end but played really well over all.

That's insulting but I'm glad after a 20-2 start you decided to come around and notice this team may not be pretty but it absolutely has winning intangibles. Not sure why after 3 straight NCAA appearances and a 19-2 start it took this game for people to notice this team is good, but I'm glad it's happening regardless.
