I agree with all of this. I have not seen anyone or any media give UC a chance to win this game, but I honestly think they will. I was more worried about the Memphis game then I am about this game, and we ended up with a 16 point beatdown on the Tigers. I honestly think we will win this game, if we have JJ.

Nobody would have said this last year (re:JJ). What a transformation! Just don't want him to be on the floor if he's not 100%. He'll get another chance in a few weeks.

If I had to make a guess, I think JJ will play. It doesn't sound like there's any medical evidence to stop him from playing. Mick will ask JJ if he's having any pain, and as long as its at worst very minor, I think he'll just say he doesn't feel any. Not saying that's the right thing to do, but I could see that happening. If the pain is pretty obvious, there's no way he goes. But it's starting to sound like he will, IMO.

A few notable tweets....

Justin Jackson: "I'm a machine...I'm playing."

@FOX19Joe 13m
Jackson said several times he'll be ready. Felt he could've played against Temple. Cronin says he might not decide until shoot around Thurs.

@FOX19Joe 12m
I asked Jackson if there's more incentive to play because it's Louisville: Said they treat all opponents "like they are Miami Heat."

EDIT Here's another:

@FOX19Joe 5m
Cronin said Jackson won't practice today. He is shooting around with the team pre-practice without limp and is moving well.

After seeing these, I am pretty confident he will play now. Hopefully he wont get hurt mid game!

Predictions;
WITH Jackson:
UC: 73
UL: 66 (Only a 7 point win because of free throws at the end of the game)
WITHOUT Jackson:
UC: 66
UL: 72

Mick might have to tie him to the bench to keep him out, he is so intense and you can tell he desperately wants to play. Gotta love his determination and persistence, I hope it works out well for him. We need him, both for the Louisville game and for the rest of the season. I think Mick and staff will make the best decision for both the short term and long term. Good to hear Lawrence is progressing, we need him sooner rather than later. If JJ doesn't play, the X-factor will be Shaq. We need consistency and a repeat performance from Sunday's game.

Many people are confident about this one; I'd say we lose even with Jackson, but I said that about Memphis too.

If you think of the best traditional rivalries, they are mostly in conference, not many out of conference. OSU/UM UNC/Duke Bama/LSU Okla/Tx

Alabama's rival is Auburn, not LSU, not even close. Probably the most heated and hated rivalry in sports. The state passed a law that wouldn't allow them to play for decades beause of all the trouble. Alabama refused to play in Auburn for so many years because fans used to try to loosen up the railroad tracks to derail the train they came in on(and I assume kill the players). My dad was a student at Auburn and in the 60's he was at a movie theater and they stopped the movie to play the end of a Vandy-Alabama game piped in on the radio because Alabama was losing and everyone stayed and cheered along with the game not caring the movie was interupted.

Anyone know who is commentating the game?

TV: ESPN; Dave O'Brien provides play-by-play with color analyst Doris Burke. Jeff Goodman reports.

I might be in the minority, but I think Doris Burke does a great job as an analyst. She's very knowledgeable.

After seeing this video I am positive JJ is gonna be playing!

Yeah she is very good at both college and pro basketball. I was hoping for Bilas though or even Dukie V.

I wouldn't say I'm confident. I just think UC matches up well and I think the incentive of wanting to prove a point will make this a helluva game. I think it's going to be a game of runs and a battle. I'm just believing the last run will be the Bearcats and push them to a win. They may lose, I just think they're going to win.

I think we lose, but we still hold them under 70. I will go 68-62 U of L. Time to start a new streak....

Let's not forget Harvey Updyke, the Alabama sore loser who poisoned the famous Auburn oaks. Those people are rabid dogs.

I don't see how people think UL is a good match up for UC. They have way more size and some really skilled players. Smith Harrell and Hancock are playing ridiculous right now. I think UL size and speed with be our demise. I mainly feel we will have a very difficult time scoring. Let's remember they have had a week to prepare for our offense..thats scary. Unless our jump shot/3 pointers are falling we will be lucky to get 55 points. If there is any doubt JJ isn't ready to go, sit him. We need him for the next time we play them. I think if we had JL and JJ it would be different. I will say....

UC-57
UL-72
