We can debate all we want about what has happened to this team, but this class has been a complete disappointment.

Sander- Meh, hasn't done much

Guyn- decent on ball defense, horrible at everything else

Gaines- Nothing but a big body

Thomas- In progress, but I like him thus far...needs more PT

Mbodj- absolutely awful hands, weak, cannot finish

Ellis- booted off the team

Davis- liked what I saw last year, redshirt this year.

Basically it looks like we got two guys that can play out of this class. Hopefully these other guys turn it around for the second of their careers.

Time to put in Alex
All else has failed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think its fair to say they are a bust when they really haven't had much of any opportunity to prove anything. You can't honestly say playing a minute here and there is a fair amount of time to determine anything. That is why I am saying play them more for the rest of the year. I would rather have them play and lose but gain experience and play with heart than watch the current upperclassmen play.

these guys aren't the problem, beside moobj.

it's the seniors and juniors. the guys who are getting the minutes.

The problem is the lame offensive scheme Cronin has taught those boys. I feel sorry for them. They are lost and have no one to look to for direction. Utterly sad.

BUMP.

Looks my predictions from last year were correct. This class should be doing the bulk of everything for the team but they simply aren't good enough.

Guyn- serviceable as a back up guard 8/9th man, Troy needs to start over him.
Sanders- below average bench guy, probably a 9th man...Thomas needs to get more PT
Gaines- off the team
Thomas- can't get a feel for the game because Mick keeps pulling him
Mbodj- done
Ellis- off the team
Davis III- off the team

Similar things were said about the 2007 class about this time and I thought they turned out just fine. They helped lead this program back to the tournament. The 2011 class had a lot more upside, however. I sort of agree with you, but too many games left in their careers to completely write them off.

By the time the 2007 class were seniors, they were coming off the bench (besides Bishop). As juniors, they gave mostly nothing and that team made the NIT...
