Love the seeding. Always thought this was a rebuilding year and getting to the tournament to keep the momentum rolling was key. We have accomplished that. Got a very winnable game against Purdue and then a shot at history. Nothing to lose really. 5 straight years is not an easy thing to do. After thinking about what happened after Huggs Im just very thankful to be able to be a fan of such a relevant, clean, successful program. Go Bearcats!

What a brutal draw in the same region as KY. Uhg. Like that meat grinder of Uconn the other year we just can't get a lucky bracket can we?

I personally want to see a win over Purdue and with all that's happened and national expectations this season has already surpassed national expectations. Cats can play lose and hard. There is nothing to lose, because nobody expects anything from them. I like the position they're in and if they're lucky enough to get past the first game I hope they give such an effort, win or lose, against KY that it leaves the nation talking win or lose.

Wow no Temple?

The AAC had a beyond bad OOC showing that I'm sure jaded the selection committee. Big East had a great OOC showing. Once everyone got into league play there were very few chances to change that perception.

UCLA makes no sense. Dude kept talking about their 6 point loss to UCLA in the PAC-12 title game. X made the BE title game. Obviously, playing deep into this weekend lifted some teams. Had UC played today, they probably would have been a 6 or 7. F'ing UConn and their 30 foot prayers. How many did they hit on Friday? At least 4 with a defender and the shot clock expiring. Maybe 5.

I disagree with Waite that UC CAN'T beat Kentucky. WON'T is probably the correct term. But on the right day...play them gritty and tough, get them into a dogfight where history starts breathing down their necks...UC can beat them on a given day. They can also be crushed by 40.

Purdue is all that matters. A tough team but a team that plays a lot of games like UC does. Look at their scores - close wins, close losses. They aren't killing anyone, and I doubt they've seen the kind of defense that UC will throw at them outside of maybe Michigan State. Ellis and Hammonds will be fun to watch inside. Caupain and Cobb are the keys, as always. I think this team is pissed off about what happened on Friday and motivated to show what they can do. Shaq is playing hard and could go off at any given moment. We need good minutes from DeBerry because Ellis might get into foul trouble.

I like our chances and I'd love to see our guys have a shot at that team down south. Whatever happens, they've earned our respect for persevering this season.

I would have had Temple and Colorado St. in over UCLA and Ole Miss. There's a potential second round game between SMU & Iowa St. SMU seems undervalued and could give the cyclones a tough battle. If BYU slips by Ole Miss, I think they take down x.

Doogle any team can get beat I understand that. I'll certainly be rooting for the Bearcats but I can't ignore the difference in size,depth and talent. If we get by Purdue we will lose to KY. I will also be the happiest person in the world to eat my words. I dislike KY more then any other team in College basketball.

I actually do think UC will beat Purdue and I agree the odds are astronomical against them beating UK. Nobody would be prouder than me if they could but if they do play them my immediate hope is that they can simply keep it reasonably close.

Agreed, beating Kentucky is a monumental task that would require lightning in a bottle. What I would hope for in that game (should they be so fortunate as to beat a good Purdue team) is that:

a) They don't flinch and play aggressively start to finish;
b) Our young guys rise to the challenge and compete - talking Caupain and Clark here;
c) Ellis plays well and keeps his cool against Cauley-Stein and Towns;
d) They walk off the floor with their heads high and some valuable lessons in their pocket for 2015-16;
e) They don't accept losing to anyone and galvanize themselves to become an elite team.

There's quite a few positives that can be taken from these first 2 rounds regardless of outcome. The only negatives I can see center around them not showing up and getting pummeled by Purdue somehow. Looking forward to seeing how they respond.

I said earlier in the year that I wanted Kentucky in the 2nd round IF we were an 8/9. Great experience for a returning team next year. We'll have a first hand idea of what it actually takes to be contenders.

I don't think motivation and showing up will be a factor at all for the Purdue game. I think they will be jacked. I love what Clark said after the UConn loss. Remember there are few teams that know UC like UCONN and their games are so even over the past 13 games that there is only a 4 point separation. Playing a team like Purdue who only gets to see you on film is a different animal entirely.

Lunardi came up with a new bracket today we are the 7 seed in the eastern region playing Louisville.

I don't take to much thought into bracketology this early in the year but I just thought I'd post it.
