I think most would call this season a success, when you factor in everything that came with it. That being said, I know we're all thinking bigger and better for next season. As of right now, where would you set the bar at for next season?

For me, anything shy of this is a disappointment:

26-5 record, pre-AAC tourney
Majority of season in top 25 w/ some time in top 15
Winning the conference regular season title
Playing in the conference title game
5 seed in the NCAA tourney
Sweet sixteen with a shot at elite eight

I think Ellis, Caupain, Cobb, and Clark will all average double-figures. Shaq with 9 per game. KJ with 8.5.

As long as the turnovers are cut down, I don't think anything I've mentioned above is a stretch. Not only attainable, but expected.

All depends on work guys put in over summer. Mick needs take leash off players and let them play any and everywhere over summer.

I agree and the future is bright for this team.

I agree about the work. Does Mick place restrictions on players during the Summer?

Yupp really only want them playing on campus against each other. if i recall correctly only gates and sk went to camps during summer here. Cash was on USA team in high school also. We ruled city and state when we played in deveroes league. Williams, sibert, Staten, Edwards all should've been bearcats. Don't think none of them guys really considered. Mick abandoned recruiting in this city for NY player. I respected idea when we were in big east. Now that we longer play on east coast we need to leave NY players alone unless its a PG.

I always thought that the camps were invitation only. If players were being held back from them, i would disagree with Mick on that one. Otherwise Mick is the greatest thing to ever happen to UC basketball and all of Western civilization. Anyone that thinks otherwise is an ignorant racist who is secretly loyal to UK and XU.

I would say I hope for better than a 5 seed, but seeing how the committee treats our conference, it is hard to imagine.

To everybody saying Kentucky cheating. Don't forget Yancy dad got job with university, brother was on team and coaching legend from withrow was big man coach. We need to make more of these deals. How many professors you think shitstain drives around Norwood? We need to step it up

We also need to hit transfers hard this spring. Wesley and mason would've been huge additions

We'll never be in KY's league when it comes to recruiting, but if we recruited half as well as Josh Pastner (who is a terrible coach), we'd be a low seed tourney team that could make a deep run every year.

Win championships and you'll join them. Uconn gets the best of best every year

Pastner stays in his lane(Memphis). If Mick stayed in Ohio we'll be fine. Replace Williams with Strickland, Staten with guyn, Edwards with Mormon and sibert with Jeremiah Davis. Thats four locals that could've been in lineup against Kentucky instead of empty seats

Its tougher than you think to get into a market that you haven't been in in a while. Especially with coaches like matta and izzo having good roots in the are and the state. How many players were local back in the huggs days? Im not saying there weren't local players like Eugene Land, or Keith Gregor, but I don't remember our roster being domintated by local talent. I was a we lad then so I could be mistaken.

I think Fletcher, Flint, Brannen, Logan, Grove, Tate were all from Ohio. Little too? Where was Levett from?

we always had a local and players fRom Cleveland

Are we content with primarily using the zone defense with this group going forward? I'd like to see more man, but I still think the zone is a good weapon. It's easy to forget bc of the games that it cost us some 3s, but it did help us out quite a bit through stretches.

I'm 20 years old now. So my memory of older teams isn't quite as good as a lot of you guys. But from watching countless Bearcats games as a kid, I seem to remember lots of players being from Texas and Northern Ohio. Both pipelines seem to have stopped recently.
