I'm not looking for him put in floor his 1st couple seasons. He reminds me of Guy from Virginia. That kid is a baller. Way better than Moore. Moore didn't even start for his aau team.

If Brannen thinks he can work on him then I will trust Brannen on that.

Cronin took athletes and tried to make basketball players out of them. After 3-4 years he could get them to be serviceable.

Brannen looks like he is going to take basketball players and try to make them even better basketball players. He can't teach athleticism so that's the only route. We are going to need at least a couple of guys out there who can defend at a high level as well...whether through superior athleticism or because they have the BB IQ to know where to be and how to guard a guy.

Samari wanted to stay local at all cost. This kid was coming to nku as Mr basketball in Wisconsin. Why didn't Brennen recruit him while he was at nku. The best recruiters, I don't care where they coaching at go have some type relationship with best kids in 100miles radius of them. This should've been slam dunk transition for Samari if nku was already going after him. Is Brennen not a top recruiter or Samari just isn't his style player?

Huh? Guys have their local schools in final 8 all time. Learn something rookie or if it don't apply to you let it fly. No need come off rude ass hell for something I have no idea where you was even talking about. If you don't offer the best player in your state I don't care what college your at that's dumb recruiting. Go check out Zion college list. But if you’re counting, it actually happened the last coaching change (when Huggins left)....Ivan Johnson got out of his LOI and went to Oregon and then the NBA.

This the issue none of you guys bring up on Samari and Brannen situation. Nku only 10miles farther than UC/x, usually recruits at least have local teams in their top 8 even when they know no chance in hell of them going to that school. Samari didn't have nku in his final top schools or did Brennen just pass on this certain type of local recruit. I doubt athletes are Brennen style right now. He had Wisconsin Mr basketball locked up but didn't get into top 8 of Mr basketball only 50miles from you?

I honestly don't think brannnen has much of the"it" factor it takes to take us over the top I mean if he did, wouldn't he rally the troops better, players and coaches?? With no Brooks JC and Curtis this team drops in the league for sure and say goodbye to at least a tournament appearance; and 2 to 3 more years with a NKU coaching staff with a host of grad transfers from Lord knows where and jucos?? I haven’t given up. But hell yes I’m a skeptic until proven otherwise. This dude is responsible for carrying the torch of a basketball program that I’m obsessed with. When you’ve never done anything remotely close to winning and recruiting at a level this high in a head coaching position, then I’m absolutely going to have reservations.

Brannen played in the 18th best league, now he is in the 6th. He just jumped up to a whole new level of competition. To just trust blindly that he is ready for it, is just weird. Mick earned my trust. John Brannen will have to do the same.

But if you don’t think quick wins in the offseason are important to fan morale then I don’t know what to tell you.

I mean if David Sloan picks Kansas state this weekend, then will you start to think it’s not such a hot start?

We literally have 1 pg on the team and 3 wings total. We absolutely have room for minutes. We need land Sloan and I’ll feel much better . But I’m not counting the chickens before they hatch
