If you think about this upcoming season and Cumberland does come back we have 3 studs on the team with jc kw and Tre so everyone settle down, we need to snatch a pg and hope diarra has reached his potential but even if that doesn’t happen we still have 3 great players

Don't think we will hear much news this weak being a dead period but next week is going to be a big one hopefully. Jarron has to make a decision next week and hopefully we have a couple of guys lined up to commit based on his status.

Whats their to kno about T Williams?

BCN reporting he could reclassify for 2020 (grades). We are starting to see the position Brannen is in being late to the game. Some of the better players that were still out there we are finding out why they may have been still out there. Guys like Todd and Williams etc.

There are still more to evaluate. The grad transfers are starting to look like better options because you know a little more about what you are getting. Unless the HS kid is a late bloomer....there are likely reasons why other teams have backed off. It's not easy finding diamonds in the rough, under recruited talent, or late bloomers. Not this late in the game anyway.

Suddenly Davenport and Vogt don't seem too bad all things considered. Coach had plenty of time to evaluate both on ability and character etc. You have to at least like the idea Brannen is not in desperation mode and will back off of players even though he needs the bodies. I think the prevailing opinion was that Todd and Williams were better gets than Davenport and Vogt...but then again...maybe not after all the facts are in.

It's still hard to tell what kind of recruiting chops Brannen has for higher profile guys he has had a chance to build relationships with...but he seems as calculated as advertised.

I'm high on Davenport...being a moeller guy likely sways md that way.. But.

High basketball iq.
Good numbers at prep school vs good talent.
Insanely high motor.

This may have been mentioned previously but 4 star guard Mika Adams-Woods coming for an official visit on 5/26-5/27 after de-committing from Nebraska

Actually, 247 has him listed as 3 star not sure which one is correct. I saw that he visited Minnesota, not sure who else is in play

What other schools in play? Sounds great.

From Twitter...we get the last visit before his decision. Take it for what it's worth.

Four-star senior guard Mika Adams-Woods has booked his final official visit, will visit Cincinnati on May 26th-27th, a source told @Stockrisers. Visited Minnesota recently.

Not working for me.

Would love to get MAW at this point. He would fill two needs. But we have had some other kids come in only to part ways after the visit so who knows.

If Jarron does come back and he has a tag along (fingers crossed)...this would give us 3 ball handlers and 3 SG's at the same time. Then if we need a grad transfer C for depth we would be done IMO.

Has Logan Johnson signed or been offered by anyone? I see a fantasy scenario that if Jarron comes back, he takes his name out of the portal......Looking at what has went on at UNLV gives me some hope.

He's not in the portal for anything related to basketball.

I don't know the specifics but its not related to basketball but more of a family issue

Here is another sheet showing our returning production and our lineup if the season started today (with Jarron).

We return our top 3 scorers. But we are completely inexperienced from the bench and need to supplement it with at least one grad transfer.

I really hope Brannen gets Trevor Moore to shoot at the level I believe he is capable of, because if not, he isn't worthy of starting on UC nor even really coming off the bench. His production on both sides of the ball is not very good.

I also dug into the numbers on Vogt. What concerns me with him is that he is average on both sides of the ball in a far lesser league. If he came on as a center, his defensive rating would be the worse from a UC big since Coreontae DeBerry in the 2015-16 season, And even then, DeBerry made up for his bad defense with efficient offense. But Vogt hasn't shown he can do either at even the horizon level.
The Bright side is that if it doesn't work out with him, he will still be able to grad transfer his senior year.
